3dvf.com/en/x-files-reboot-g… No disrespect to anyone involved but I'm not interested. For me The X-Files is a nostalgia thing and the exclusion of Mulder and Scully to me means it's a different show entirely. Good luck to them though

How a 1937 film pulled off one of cinema’s creepiest transformations. It’s hard to believe this effect was created nearly 90 years ago. x.com/fluxfolio_/status/1982…

Anyone who knows me knows that Nic Cage is my favourite actor, but even I find him hilarious and this impression is so accurate I couldn't breathe LMFAO youtu.be/3Ei6iUQvRNo?si=T498…

He should be locked up.
Nigel Farage said the ban on handguns brought in after Dunblane was “ludicrous” and should be lifted, arguing handguns ought to be legalised and licensed again. The man is deranged, he won't be happy until school shootings are happening in the UK again.

Terribly sad about Tom Noonan passing. In casting Manhunter I auditioned about 10-15 actors in New York when Tom walked in the door and said, “I don’t want to talk. I just want to read.” He read and it was magical. We worked closely. I based Dollarhyde less on the novel’s character and more on a convicted killer whom I met and with whom I corresponded who was doing life in Vacaville. I took Tom into that world and he made it his own. It was an automatic to cast Tom in a wheelchair as Kelso in Heat. He did so much more fine work, but it was as the battered child become a killer adult - both alive in the same bottle - that projected the range and deep soul of this so acute and committed artist. Rest in peace, Tom.

I think that if you’re going to write a piece in the Times urging the government to use and boost more AI, the fact that you are paid by a major AI company should be in the first sentence, or at least first paragraph. I also think that the best scenario for AI is that it destroys millions of jobs with the prosperity, dignity and community that goes with them. The worst scenario is the destruction of the human race - a fear openly expressed by an increasing number of senior and experienced AI engineers who are leaving the industry. And somewhere in between a myriad of horrors such as yet more screen learning and screen addiction for our children. But I do see that it will make rich men even richer. And that’s the most important thing of course.

Hamnet is fucking fantastic. My one criticism is the accents. RP accent did not exist on those days. Infact Mescal and Buckley's native Irish accents would have sounded more authentic
