Let's consider a hypothetical couple who are worth $50 million. They have a few young children. Suppose these parents let their kids know from a young age, that they never needed to work a day in their lives; they would receive a stipend to live on.
Would you consider them good parents? And if so you thought, "No," then before going on, ask yourself why? Be specific in your mind about what the actual *downside* would be, to letting your kids know they never needed to work a day in their lives.
Then consider: That approach is what the people running the government, justified by their academic priests, are trying to implement with UBI.

If I got an elderly demented person to sign a contract involving large sums of money and obligations I could go to jail and rightfully so and the contract would be null and void….. yet when Congress sends such a contract to an elderly demented man it’s the law of the land!
