Morning. Off to the vets with benji l, one of our cats should be getting signed off after his amputation of his front leg to rid him of his cancer tumour. Been just over a month been tuff time for him but he’s getting the hang of life on three legs.

🦁 See how national demand for electricity fluctuated during last night’s Netherlands vs England game at #EURO2024 ⚽ We experienced demand increase by 1GW due to the TV pick up effect as the nation grabbed their half time refreshments. 📈 As the second half kicked off demand for electricity fell until the full time whistle caused a 740MW increase in demand.

Spoiling you tonight. Here’s the defunct Stepney Power Station switchroom and control room. This HUGE Ferguson-Pailin switchboard worked at 6.6kV! I’m guessing early 1930s built, in Manchester. It was decommissioned in 1986 or so⚡️
