My beagle, Nani, had a tough 2013. Late February he destroyed the cruciate ligament on his left rear knee.

Again, the surgery was successful, but it still took many months until he had recuperated fully.
On his way to the dog park today, he suddenly started shaking. With happinessā¦! He met his friends again (around 14 of them), and they were so happy to see each other!

In these darker days, I would like to tell a wonderfully true story. I apologise in advance, but the thread shouldnāt be too long.
There is a very informal group of beagle owners that meet every Sunday afternoon.

However, she quickly saw and realised how happy and relaxed Bob was in the group, and fairly soon after she was running with the group, and relaxing. Quite soon after she was also interacting with all of the humans in the group as well.
She quickly became expert at spotting who was thinking about pulling some treats out of a pocket (she is a beagle, after all!!!). All in all, wonderful to witness! No photos of her yet, but they will come. Just fantastic seeing the transition from a ālocked soulā to a free one!
