Parking at home 8/10 times always fails to automatically back into the garage to the charger, robbing my robot of it’s FSD streak. Hopefully the next round of FSD updates improves this behavior. I know I’m far from alone on this.

Voyager 1 is 24 billion kilometers from Earth. It communicates with us using a 23-watt transmitter. Less than a refrigerator light bulb. The signal takes 22 hours to reach us, traveling at the speed of light. By the time it arrives, it's 20 billion times weaker than the power of a digital watch battery. NASA's Deep Space Network picks it up using 70-meter dish antennas cooled to near absolute zero to reduce electronic noise. The engineering required to hear a 23-watt signal from 24 billion km away is arguably more impressive than the spacecraft itself. Launched 1977. Still transmitting. Still being heard. We built something that works perfectly, 47 years later, in conditions no one has ever tested in. That's what engineering for the long term looks like.

Crazy that Ontario cancelled their Starlink deal, but the teachers pension plan is making a fortune on SpaceX
Here's the announcement that the Ontario, Canada Teachers' Pension Plan made in 2019 when they invested $300M into @SpaceX, which at the target IPO valuation of $1.75T would be worth $11.6B: "SpaceX is the world’s leading private space launch provider, and we are excited to work with the company in the next phase of its growth as it rolls out its Starlink satellite network." This would come out to about $33,500 for each of the Pension Plans' 346,000 members. Incredible.

SpaceX has officially announced that @Starlink now has over 12 million active customers, up from 10.2M in March 2026 and 9M last December. Starlink added a record ~27,700 new customers on average per day since they hit 10.2 million customers. The first Starlink version 3 satellites are expected to launch later this year, which will bring gigabit connectivity, a 20X in capacity and a massive increase in bandwidth.
