Very happily married. Trying to be a devoted son to my Lord Father. I believe that Romans 12:9 applies to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Have you heard of the Military Intelligence Museum? It’s moving to one of Britain’s best-kept secrets: the London Tunnels. Built to protect us during the Blitz and hidden for nearly 70 years - these mile-long tunnels are about to open to the public! I’m proud to be an ambassador for this exciting project! Follow: @mi_intel to stay up-to-date and show your support.

In 1943, the Gestapo finally caught Raymond Aubrac β€” one of France's most wanted Resistance leaders. He was sentenced to death. His execution was days away. His wife Lucie was six months pregnant. Most people would have hidden. Would have grieved quietly and prayed for a miracle. Lucie Aubrac did something else entirely. She obtained forged identity papers, constructed a cover story, and walked straight into the office of Klaus Barbie β€” the man history would remember as the Butcher of Lyon β€” and convinced him to grant her a visit with the condemned man. She wasn't there to say goodbye. She was memorizing guard positions. Counting minutes. Mapping the route the prison truck would take. On October 21, 1943, that truck rolled through the streets of Lyon carrying Raymond and other prisoners toward what should have been the end. Lucie had spent weeks quietly assembling a team of Resistance fighters, planning an ambush with the precision of a military operation. When the truck reached the ambush point, the team struck β€” fast, coordinated, and without hesitation. In the chaos of gunfire and confusion, Raymond Aubrac was pulled free. Lucie β€” visibly, unmistakably pregnant β€” had organized every detail of his liberation. They went into hiding. Weeks later, Lucie gave birth to their daughter in a safe house while German forces searched for them across France. When liberation finally came, the Aubracs didn't merely survive β€” they rebuilt. Raymond became a celebrated engineer and entered public life. Lucie became a historian, pouring decades into ensuring that the women of the French Resistance β€” so often unnamed, so easily forgotten β€” were written permanently into the record. They raised three children. They traveled the world. They argued and laughed and grew old together. When journalists asked Lucie, years later, what had compelled her to risk everything that October day, she didn't hesitate. "He was my husband. What else would I do?" Lucie Aubrac passed away in 2007 at the age of 94. Raymond β€” who had once needed a commando team to be freed from a German prison β€” lived on until 2012, reaching 97 years old. In his final years, he continued speaking publicly about the Resistance, about memory, about the obligation to tell the truth. They had been married for 64 years. Not a love story built on grand gestures or perfect circumstances. A love story built in occupied France, in safe houses and forged documents and a prison truck ambush on a Lyon street β€” forged in fire, and never broken. True love doesn't wait for rescue. Sometimes, it does the rescuing

Outstanding series!

Worth reading and understanding.
Hi everyone. πŸ‘‹ Just so you're all aware, I've asked questions around my own photography since I started this account over 10 years ago. 'Calls to action' have always been important everywhere for photographers, artists, for any creative on the Internet, not just Twitter. Since Twitter changed to X, they brought in monetization for qualifying verified accounts. It's the worst thing to happen to this app.. 'Engagement farming' has taken over from 'Calls to action'... You have all seen the thousands of accounts indulging in blatant engagement farming, you can't escape them... the ones that steal something from the net, or use AI... and ask an inane question about it. For example 'What would you put in this space?' There are countless engagement farming tactics, from posting fake quotes from famous people to making an obvious 'mistake' in captioning a photo, forcing people to comment to correct the mistake. Since monetization came in, people like myself who had little businesses linked directly to their account have struggled to be seen, even with a large following.. I dropped from about 15 million views a month to about 4 million. As a result, my business has obviously suffered. My takings this year are down 35% on last year, and 60% down on 5 years ago, because the algorithm no longer promotes genuine accounts that create stuff, it promotes slop.. I know there are some people that resent ordinary people who have a passion and drive to create their own little businesses solely featuring their own work, but we're doing nothing wrong, just trying to survive. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I get a small amount from X, which goes into my business income, same as my Ko-fi donations and subscriptions here.. they're essential in keeping my one-man business afloat. Please feel free to block me if you're not OK with this. 😊 No hard feelings.... I'll continue using this account in exactly the same way as I've always done! This morning a follower asked; 'When did you last put out a post without an engagement farming question?' It's important to know the context in which this post was created. Thank you for reading. ❀️

Something to brighten up your morning, wherever you are!
I don't think many of my followers are seeing my posts anymore. πŸ˜” The algorithm doesn't seem to promote photographers like it used to a few years ago.. If you see this tweet, of a Robin dropping from a berry laden branch, please can you let me know in the comments. πŸ™πŸ¦β™₯️

Every time I post this link my post goes no where. givebutter.com/BuggiesandBir… But I need to keep trying. We are so close to being able to be evacuated when we are injured. $1604 left to raise and we receive a $3000 donation, finishing the first evacuation buggy. Asking #Canada for a little help with the algorithm tonight. With Love, - Your medic in #Ukraine. #Support93 #SupportUkraine

Today is Ukrainian Defender’s Day. We thank everyone who dedicates their lives to securing peace in Europe and safeguarding Ukraine’s independence. We are especially grateful to our founder, @dim0kq, who created this project to support defenders and later became a soldier himself. We thank him for his tireless work, vision, and motivation. So we prepared a thread with Dimko's thoughts about his decisions! πŸ‘‡πŸ»

52-year-old Ukrainian hairdresser Ilona Revut died of a heart attack during russian shelling. Her colleagues said she was healthy and active, but the stress of the attacks was overwhelming. Many Ukrainians face serious health impacts from the constant threat of russian attacks. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
