🇺🇦 PGY-30 INTJ Emergency Physician | Emergency care is a process, not a place | civility saves lives! Caveat lector @CUH_NHS 💙 rod-mackenzie.bsky.social
Just to be clear ... we are here. 24/7/365. Don’t be frightened of coming to the Emergency Department if you think you need to. We’ve got this. youtu.be/T8qHXlShfUQ
Honored and humbled to receive the 2025 Trauma Care Fellowship. @TraumaCareUK
The trouble with lifetime achievement awards? I’m not finished yet! Still plenty of exciting work ahead in injury prevention, teaching and and saving lives with data 👉 prananet.org.
Recovering from a fantastic week at the @FPHCEd@ibtphem national course - 6th time for me - with an incredible group of faculty and delegates. Incredibly proud to be a small part of it and see everyone develop - good luck in your posts and stay safe! #learninghasoccured#PHEM
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. #RememberanceDay
I am simultaneously impressed (& supportive) of @RCollEM’s commitment to “doing things properly” when it comes to rigorous ACP portfolios & developing a MDT EM workforce, whilst also agreeing with the key arguments made in the angry letter below ⬇️ Anyone else?
I’m sorry to have to say this again but the emergency department is not the overflow department. Emergency care services are drowning. Throwing more water on top of them is not helping. We all need to bail out together @CAEP_Docs. link.springer.com/article/10…
Proud of the latest #surgeons series. It doesn't seem 10 years since Lifesavers. I'm even more proud of what we have achieved @CUH MTC despite all the challenges ... but we need to respect and support our nursing staff! #FairPayforNursing#OurNHS 💙bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01bp44…
📢Today we launch our report: Emergency healthcare: a national emergency. We set out our action plan to respond to this crisis and make sure people can access lifesaving #EmergencyHealthcare. Committee Chair Baroness Armstrong introduces the report:
@doctorcaldwell: Ward rounds represent the ‘main production line’ of medicine but nevertheless remain ‘underappreciated, undervalued and underdeveloped.’
Just as true today as a decade ago when he wrote it. linkedin.com/posts/liam-chad…
The #NHS💙 is not broken!
It's surviving after 12 years of constant bullying by the Tories and their US vultures.
It's knackered, understaffed, over politicised and starved of all the things that makes it the best service in the world.
We need fight, defend & help it to heal🤬
The con is to believe the tax-based NHS system is somehow broken and that a new way of paying for healthcare will fix it. There is no cheaper way. Nothing the govt has planned costs less. The public always pay for healthcare.
Let me explain…
