Congratulations to West Virginia, Somalia, and the United States on the historic passing of a Resolution and signing of MOU for economic engagement that stands to lift up the citizens of both nations and enhance our national security efforts by securing critical mineral global supply chains. 🇺🇸

You might want to read it a third time. I hear repetition is the key to learning. @POTUS is right.
I had to read this twice

I’m here for it @RepRileyMoore. Our country needs you in this way.
Scoop: A host of Republicans across the admin, K Street and the Hill are pushing for GOP Rep. RILEY MOORE as the next labor secretary it's dividing Rs between the more union-friendly Moore and acting DOL chief Keith Sonderling - as the party tries to navigate a new pro-union coalition ahead of midterms tapping Moore could also be fairly catastrophic to Speaker Mike Johnson's razor-thin majority, some Rs argue. But many House Rs doubt they actually move a third GOP reconciliation bill where they would need his vote. w/ @jordainc politi.co/4xpVw9Z via @politico

I just heard a most interesting policy proposal from a 97-year-old man I’ve ever heard - seniors and prisoners swap. Can you imagine? Senior citizens opt in to jail and criminals go nursing homes. SENIORS: Have access to daily showers, hobbies, and walks; they receive unlimited free healthcare, prescriptions, dental, and medical treatment, wheelchairs, etc. They are constantly monitored by video and have attendant/guard check on them every 20 minutes and would be instantly helped if they fell or needed medical assistance. Bedding would be washed twice a week and all clothing washed, pressed, and returned to them. Food would be provided at no charge and families a visit in a suite built specifically for that purpose. They will have access to the library, weight room, spiritual counseling, outdoor recreation area, and education. Basic clothing and legal aid are provided free of charge with TV, radio, and phone access daily. CRIMINALS: Get cold food and left all alone and mostly unsupervised. Their lights are turned off at 8pm; they shower once er week, and pay $5-8,000 per month for their tiny room with no hope of ever getting out. Maybe we have this thing all backwards.

Yes.
Appalachia is the very spine of America; West Virginia is the only state that is entirely within the Appalachian region. For centuries, these are the people who provided the energy to heat our homes and our businesses, consistently enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces at higher rates per capita than almost any other region in the country, and whose fierce independence has been both celebrated and ridiculed. And they're proud of all of it.

The Education Cliff that we’ve known was coming for years. And it’s a rolling cliff that will hit middle schools, then high schools, then public universities. America’s birthing rates either improve or the U.S. gets desperate and reverts back to open borders. Sure wish we had the 63 million Americans that were aborted since 1973. Public education wouldn’t be facing this crisis and social security, Medicare, and other critical human services would not be facing extinction.
A professor at the University of Michigan, who is a West Virginia native, created an online WV school closure tracker and found 70% of closures impacted elementary schools westvirginiawatch.com/2026/0…

Funny thing about free markets…competition forces better outcomes or face extinction.
The state school board is changing West Virginia’s pre-K enrollment eligibility rule, and board President Paul Hardesty stressed public schools must become flexible as they’re competing with growing school choice options. westvirginiawatch.com/2026/0…

Mr. President, West Virginia is incredibly thankful for your work to protect energy jobs. The coal miners and energy workers know the importance of why we’re here today. 🇺🇸

There are generational systems in play that greatly contribute to this despite the relentless work of some WV lawmakers to make it rain for West Virginia again. We’ve been working on mineral deals that would benefit the United States, and West Virginia in particular, that would make the prosperity of the height of the coal era look like a child’s lemonade stand. And yet…the dollars and the vision are too big. We have to play in states that are used to playing at a global economic level. They think different. Inspirational vision over time with future generations and/OR a mass influx of people from other states is what *can* change this for West Virginia, not policy alone.

I am very thankful for those that have gone before us and paid the ultimate price, sacrificing their lives, for the freedom we have today. May we honor them this Memorial Day by not giving up one inch of it! 🇺🇸

This needs to be done. It is not a trivial matter. And it’s more than a cost-saving, productivity enhancement, or convenience measure. Eliminating time change reduces inner friction, promotes stability in our nation, and is healthier overall for spirit, soul, and body.
🚨 BREAKING: 🇺🇸 The House Energy and Commerce Committee just voted 48-1 to advance The Sunshine Protection Act, which would make Daylight Saving Time permanent. Key details: -Bill will be attached to the broader Highway Bill in the House -48-1 vote signals overwhelming bipartisan support Trump publicly thanked Chairman Brett Guthrie and Rep. Vern Buchanan -Trump says hundreds of millions of dollars are wasted annually on clock changes including tower clocks requiring heavy equipment -His framing: "Saving Daylight gives you a longer, brighter Day — And who can be against that" -Trump has called it "a very nice WIN for the Republican Party" Saying goodbye to the twice-yearly clock change has been a rare bipartisan dream for years. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio pushed the same bill through the Senate by unanimous consent in 2022 before it died in the House. The clock-change tradition dates back to WWI as a wartime energy-saving measure. America may finally be done with it.

Refreshing to hear this acknowledged. Inflation should not be a given. The goal is not to bleed out slowly year after year, but to stop the bleeding completely.
Being above 2% inflation for 62 months is certainly a failure. But the Fed having a target of 2% in the first place is a problem. Just a slower erosion of the currency. A difference in degree, not a difference in kind.

We never were one. Mob/majority rule (democracy) sounds nice and hasn’t worked at scale one time in human history. Founding Fathers James Madison and John Adams explicitly rejected “pure democracy” as “spectacles of turbulence and contention” incompatible with rights and stability. Thank God for our Constitutional Republic.
Are we still a democracy?

Absolutely. @Delta’s response yesterday was disastrous and conjured by a PR team, not visionary leadership. Stating it will take until 2028 to develop their own and continue partnering with the horrific paywall platforms of the last decade is not a winning strategy when infinitely superior service is available now. They will fall further behind, like their aircraft, service, and hub has. Your assessment on why they do not go with @Starlink was spot on.
Most airlines are partnering with @Starlink. The others will have terrible WiFi and lose customers as a result.

The fact that people always have and always will do any given thing that is morally or legally wrong doesn’t make it right. And it certainly doesn’t mean courts and politicians shouldn’t stand against the evils of our day. More facts @HillaryClinton: 1. People have always murdered and always will in all 50 states. 2. Safe for who? 3. Laws are for those who follow them and are necessary to a civil society. Thieves will always steal no matter the lock. Murderers will kill no matter the weapon. Politicians will destroy hard drive evidence no matter the hammer. No court or politician can change that.
Here are the facts: People have always had and will always have abortions in all 50 states. Abortion pills are safe, effective, and have been used by millions of people. No court or politician can change either of those realities.

If the last 50 years was “traditional conservative principles,” then we need new principles AND new leadership. Indeed, you can try to resurrect the failed policies of the last 50 years, but I’m interested in resurrecting the founding LIBERTY and FREEDOM spirit of this nation. You know, the “give me liberty or give me death” of Patrick Henry, and “those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety” of Benjamin Franklin, and the preference for “dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery” of Thomas Jefferson. We are so far past the “conservative” wars that we spend our days fighting while we lose our country, the moral fabric of our nation and families, our patriotic spirit and duty, and our fundament rights and freedoms given by God not government. The Titanic is sinking, and you’re wanting to rearrange the furniture and change the wallpaper. This is emblematic of the out-of-touch lunacy that defines the geriatric “leadership” of both major parties today. The “traditional conservative principles” of the last 50 years was more concerned about their retirements plans, golf handicaps, weekend barbecues, and annual vacations than they were the complete erosion of our freedoms, the stripping of our Constitution, tax theft of our own citizenry, and the absolutely abhorrent criminal behavior of our bloated government. Many Republicans out here fighting who the “real” conservative is and touting the need for “common sense conservatives,” but I would contend that we need leaders of UNcommon sense, ABOVE average intelligence, and DIVINE wisdom, judgement, and discernment that can see beyond today to know how the variables and decisions of today impact the fabric of our society for generations to come. The choice isn’t a binary, isolationist or globalist, as it was in the last century. We can and must continue being the greatest leader and nation of the world, the NATION among all nations, in every way, and standing for what is good, right, and decent as a human race, holding fast to that which has been true since the creation of the world: the ideal family structure, marriage, child rearing, good manners, civil and honorable virtues, noble stewards of the planet we occupy, personal fiscal and character disciplines, accountability, and responsibility in private and public life. We either return to our founding unalienable Rights of LIFE, LIBERTY, AND PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS endowed to all people by their Creator, or we will fall like EVERY. SINGLE. EMPIRE before us has fallen. *But by all means, let’s have whoever wins the social media influencer and meme contest be our next President. I’m sure that will fix things. Carry on, didn’t mean to interrupt dinner reservations, your evening TV viewing in the recliner, or the book tour.
Republicans ought to do a lot of soul-searching before 2028. I think Republicans face a new time of choosing — whether we're going to stay on the path of the traditional conservative principles that have always defined our party for the last half century, or whether we're going to follow the siren song of populism” - Check Out this excerpt from my recent interview on @GoingBigPodcast 👇 I Explore All this in my Upcoming Book “What Conservatives Believe: Rediscovering The Conservative Conscience” Available on June 2nd.
