Nicholas Winton helped 669 Jewish children escape the Nazis. His efforts went unrecognized for 50 years. Then in 1988, while sitting as a member of a TV audience, he suddenly found himself surrounded by the kids he’d rescued, now adults.
I like to remember this every Jan 27th.

Raul Grijalva was genuine. He was the same as an elected official which is unusual. Whether you agreed with him or not on any issue, he never wavered in his beliefs and you always knew where he stood. I do not know what else you can ask of a public servant. A solid legacy. RIP.

Just watched @abbydphillip and panel attacking @FrankLuntz I have done politics for 50 yrs. Frank explained what polling says people believe. This should have been a strategy discussion on how to talk to opponents effectively not a beating. We will keep losing until we do better.

I ran my first Senate campaign for Dennis DeConcini in 1976. The party is out of touch with today’s America. Senators and Representatives should spend this upcoming August recess in an RV getting to know our country and its people. There is more to America than the coasts.
