Software shouldn't just be a tool you use – it should be a partner that guides your next move to help you grow. And that’s exactly what we’re building at Maropost. Our Founder & CEO, @RossAndrew, talks about this shift (and more) on a recent podcast: m-post.co/4tcDQfl

Most "startup advice" is absolute nonsense. And most of it breaks the moment you try to scale. I’m sharing what actually worked building @Maropost on The Tech Founders Podcast with Marcus Papin: m-post.co/4c33gGk

People ask for the "secret" to growing $300k to $26M in 28 months. The truth? Founder-led sales. I wasn't a "trained" rep. I just listened to customers and turned their problems into product specs. Don’t outsource your blueprint. Hear the full story: m-post.co/3PGIQtI

Most founders follow the same playbook: raise VC, hire “experienced” execs, and chase growth at all costs. I did the exact opposite at @Maropost I sat down with @GuillaumeMbh on BILLIONS to talk about what it takes to build a $1.7B company off-playbook: m-post.co/4kY2LQn

Shopify is cheap on day one. The stack you build around it isn’t. The moment you hit ~15 apps, you’re not “scaling” – you’re maintaining chaos. That’s the complexity tax. Unified commerce is how you get your speed back. What’s your app count right now?

Most ecommerce “conversion problems” aren’t traffic problems. They’re friction problems. If I had to boost conversions FAST, I’d do this👇 ✅ Add guest checkout ✅ Implement BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) ✅ Fix discovery with AI search recommendations What would you add?

Let’s be honest: most “unified commerce” platforms aren’t unified – they’re separate systems stitched together with surface-level integrations. If it’s not built on one architecture and a single source of truth, customer experience will break at some point. Simple as that.

In 2017, I heard a 55 minute podcast interview with @RossAndrew that changed the trajectory of my life forever. Have you ever heard of Roger Banister? In 1954, Roger Banister was the first human to run a mile under 4min. For 1000's of years, people believed that a human could not break 4min. Here’s the crazy thing… By the end of 1955, 24 people had broken the 4min mile. Why? Because THEY KNEW IT WAS POSSIBLE. This is a story of my Roger Banister moment that changed my life forever. ACT 1 / ROBLY EMAIL MARKETING In 2014 I launched an Email Marketing app called Robly. We got stuck at $3m in 2016, and remained stuck until November 2019. ACT 2 / THE PODCAST Throughout the Robly journey, I was searching for any information that might get us unstuck. That's when I came across the podcast with Ross and heard something that was MIND BLOWING... He bootstrapped Maropost to $25M ARR with only ONE SALES REP! Insane. ACT 3 / THE GOAL Now I knew it was possible. And even though I was stuck at $235k MRR, $2MM MRR became my goal. I wrote in my journal that I would hit it by my 42nd birthday. ACT 4 / DIANA ROSS I HAD to find out what Ross knew about the Email Marketing space that I didn't. So I hit up his old salespeople. That led to chatting with Diana Ross, who had left Maropost. We spoke more and more over the course of the year, and in 2018 decided to start a business together. ACT 5 / THE EPIC FAIL We spent a year building a new newsletter app, and our plan was to “launch” at the Traffic & Conversions summit. At the event we collected some leads, but when I started talking with people face-to-face I saw their reaction. All they were thinking was, "How do I get this guy to stop talking to me?" I had to figure out how to salvage it. I remembered hearing it was possible to have an anonymous visitor hit a website and you could resolve it to a deliverable email address. I thought I could sell that to anybody. So on the second day of the trade show, I closed every conversation with: "By the way, what if I could get you the email addresses of people who visited your website and didn't fill out a form?" BOOM!! People's eyes lit up. "What did you just say???" Those conversations inspired the next 6 years of my life. ACT 6 / TODAY Those conversations led to GetEmails, which we launched on Nov 9, 2019. We didn’t get to $25m with one rep, but… We DID get to $12m ARR with 6 people and only ONE REP! TAKEAWAY My life changed when I heard Ross got Maropost to $25m ARR with one rep. Startups can get WAY farther than you think, with FAR fewer resources. BUT... You must have YOUR OWN Roger Banister moment. YOU must realize what’s possible. That's why Thursday, I'm doing a LIVE training on how we bootstrapped RB2B $0-$3M ARR with only 5 people in 6mos. This is the behind-the-scenes stuff I wanted to know when I was stuck. If you want to learn WHAT'S POSSIBLE, join us today at 2pm ET: events.rb2b.com/webinar

One of the clearest signs of intelligence is being interested in other people’s perspectives. 95% of people I meet aren’t. Crazy.

What Wikipedia did: we stood strong for our principles and fought to the Supreme Court of Turkey and won. This is what it means to treat freedom of expression as a principle rather than a slogan.

Did your brain fall out of your head, Yglesias? The choice is have Twitter throttled in its entirety or limit access to some tweets. Which one do you want?
