Are you a community group that is in the Reading area, that needs some exposure and assistance? Why not apply for our Rotary Award - rotaryawards.co.uk
On Wednesday 21 September, seven of us from Reading Rotary Club (pictured) joined with other local organisations in a clean-up of litter on View Island and Hills Meadow by the Thames in Reading.

We met by the Reading Hydroeleectric project, of which our member Rtn.Tony Cowling is a leading light (not meant to be a pun) and cleared an enormous amount of litter as well as coming across some interesting things (also pictured).
Oh, don't mind me, just parking this here. It's only the brochure for our Centenary Celebrations. YES! 100 years old! We are 100 years old this year!! 🥳

Our volunteer reading mentors demonstrate that reading can be fun and enjoyable to those children who struggle to read. By taking the time to become one of our trained and supported volunteers, you will be doing something incredible and will be able to give children a life skill.

Thank you @RdgHydro for a fascinating tour on Wednesday. It's a beautiful thing to see people's hard work prosper into a heartwarming community project. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check them out, give them a follow, they're awesome. #followfriday#renewableenergy
After a year away, the @ReadingSantaRun is returning to the town centre to raise money for two charities.
We caught up with Graham Broadhurst from organisers @RotaryReading to find out more about what the run is all about.
Thank you everyone who took part! And to those who weren't there, if you are reading this thinking that next time you might like to join us, send us a message. It's great fun in good company.
Lots of Rotary members out in town this weekend supporting selling poppies for Royal British Legion.
Thanks to Presidents of @RotaryReading & @RotaryReadingME with Cathy from Inner Wheel Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh - District 9, and Friend of Rotary Maggi with member Brian.
Can you imagine a lovelier bunch? I can't!
The Reading Rotary Club assisted the @PoppyLegion with the Poppy Appeal Collection this weekend, as did the charming @ReadingAbbeyRC.
We'll also be there next weekend, so drop by to show your support.
