The Times & the Telegraph now in full grip of Misan derangement syndrome. Send help. It’s almost as if a black man with outspoken views on Gaza is some sort of target? 🤔
So, I see there’s yet *another* attempt by Danny Cohen to get Misan Harriman sacked. First the Times, now the Telegraph. Thing is I’m sure these are his own views & not those of his employer, a billionaire who bought a TV station at Netanyahu’s request. 1/

On behalf of their client, Zara Sultana, Bindmans Media and Information Law Practise Group requires that I publish the following statement on X, and that such statement must be clearly visible and pinned to my profile for a continuous period of no less than 24 hours: “On 30 March 2026, I published a post on my X account addressed to Zarah Sultana in which I stated that she encourages and incites violence and is friends with terrorists. Those statements are false. I was wrong and offer my sincere apologies to Ms Sultana for the harm and distress caused to her.” It is my very great pleasure to do this, and I reiterate my sincere and repeated offer to meet with Miss Zara Sultana in person to resolve our differences.

The killing of dozens of girls at a primary school in Iran is not on the front page of a single British newspaper. A simple test - imagine the reaction if they were Israelis. aljazeera.com/news/2026/2/28…

Slightly unfashionable view these days but I think the Senedd building is a beautiful, modern parliament. Good to see MSs returning to it today.
Members of the Senedd will return to the Siambr today (24 February) following the completion of a year-long redevelopment project nation.cymru/news/mss-return…

Apart from a single year 1950-51, the Conservatives were in power throughout the 1950s. The total lack of historical understanding of Britain’s commitment to modernising - across society - in the post war years is remarkable.
Labour's razing of Britain's built heritage in the 50s was surpassed only by the Soviet Union.

This is an extraordinary piece about the grind and hopelessness of life in present day Cuba, by @Ruaridhnicoll , who manages to be by turns romantic, wistful and clear eyed. It is a piece about loss and gross incompetence in the face of that loss. theguardian.com/world/2026/f…

The US cutting off oil to Cuba is truly one of the most depraved acts it is possible to imagine. Hospitals will close, food production will collapse, people will starve. It is urgent for US citizens, and every sane person, to oppose this barbarism with all their might.

Somehow, at some point in the last few years it has become acceptable to publicly mock trans people. This isn’t about vulnerable women’s spaces, or women’s sport, it’s about delighting in declaring your disgust for a tiny minority of other humans and it has to stop.
