🚨 Something big is happening
Max Verstappen was in Austria today together with his manager, where literally all the big Red Bull bosses were gathered, including the Thai shareholder.
So why such a huge delegation if Max is still under contract until 2028?
And what is true about the rumours that Max was in the UK yesterday and met with Toto Wolff?
Is this about a big contract renewal, possibly including Max’s GT racing team, or has he made it clear that he wants to leave?
And if so, is Mercedes next year really on the table?
Or are we all just waiting for Sardinia 2.0?
Guys, prepare yourselves. This could be the biggest signing in F1 history.
Max Verstappen to Mercedes is starting to feel very real.
Why?
• Toto Wolff has been chasing Max since 2014
• Mercedes currently look like the stronger long-term project.
• Red Bull’s Constructors’ position could trigger Max’s exit clauses.
• Russell is under serious pressure next to his teammate.
• Mercedes could activate his exit clause if they want to make room for Max.
• Red Bull has lost too many key figures including GP.
• There is no “shark” left at Red Bull to fight the political battles against Toto/Zak Brown.
• Mercedes already works with Max through his GT racing team.
• Waché has failed to build a top-level chassis
• Max cannot waste his prime waiting for Red Bull to recover.
At some point, loyalty is not enough.
