"Aura" is obtained through adventure. The Zoomer fails to devote himself to any authentic ideal (beyond the surrogate activities presented by the Technological System) — this is a symptom of ethnic cleansing, the total erasure of authentic American frontier culture. The Zoomer confines himself to a reclusive, anonymous life, where he fears the revelation of his own name. He decries the vitalization of any destiny that would otherwise provide him meaning beyond the confines of his defeatism. One so far removed from the ways of his ancestors knows no mode of being other than to limp through life as a castrated dog. The solution is to revitalize the same heroic rites of passage that transformed the European into the American - this means a return to frontier conditions an a total abandonment of the anti-civilization. Presently, I am attempting to recreate frontier expeditions to guide Americans through the experiences that were stolen from us. Our expedition this August will include 2 days in yurt camps, training on horseback and eagle hunting. The next 8 days, we will brave mountains between 2,500 - 4,7000 meters in elevation, as we move through "snow leopard ravine". The difficulty of this week's scouting trip was intense. I braved hail and lightning storms, white out blizzards, and even had to take shelter with yak herders to survive the night. We ascended so high into the peaks that we touched the glaciers in the middle of the second hottest month of the year. Very excited to take another 20 to brave the wilds out here and demonstrate the latent exceptionalism of the American people.
