UEFA B–licensed coach with experience across elite women’s football, senior men’s football, girls’ pathways, and boys’ academy environments, alongside academy performance analysis ⚽️ I’ve recently completed four years working full-time in Norway and am now taking time to explore my next opportunity within professional football environments 🌍 My work has focused on player development, aligned game models, and supporting clear progression across youth and senior football, while continuing to learn from strong environments and good people 💪🏻 Always happy to connect, listen, and exchange ideas 💡

This is an absolute lesson by Morocco in attacking transition play - shows the benefit of slicing through and playing forward on the earliest possible pass in transition. Sublime.

Mental that the World Cup starts today, especially in you’re anywhere in the UK and have taken one look outside your window. Noah’s ark has been past my house twice today already 🌧️⚽️

I have a potential opportunity available for an aspiring football analyst to work with me. The role would involve: • Tactical breakdowns of matches • Producing match reports for coaches and players • Opposition analysis where required This would be a voluntary position, ideal for someone looking to take their first steps into football analysis. Kent-based is desirable, but not essential as the role can be done remotely. DM me if this sounds of interest.

And done it by playing some really decent football, far away from expected norms of a team in that position. It now begs the question, in a relegation scrap is a ‘firefighter’ manager actually necessary or has the definition just changed?

After an incredible few years abroad working across elite football environments in the women's game, I’m now actively exploring new opportunities for the upcoming season. ⚽ Over the past 5 years, I’ve gained experience across: - First-team coaching & performance analysis - Elite youth development pathways - Multi-disciplinary environments across the UK and Europe - Working across various age groups from U13 to Senior Level Qualifications: • UEFA B Licence • BA (Hons) Football Studies I’m currently seeking opportunities in: 🔹 Assistant Coach roles 🔹 Coach-Analyst positions I’m based in South-East England but fully open to relocation for the right opportunity. I’m passionate about creating high-performance environments, building strong relationships with players and staff, and helping teams maximise both individual and collective performance. If anyone is aware of opportunities, or would simply like to connect, please feel free to reach out directly.

Probably in the minority that doesn't mind this squad, probably the most balanced team in terms of fitting the system that England have had for a long, long time. Big emphasis on runners in behind Kane and Bellingham, a Palmer or a Foden in that eleven doesn't give any balance - too many players operating in a tight area, a big reason why we were poor in the last Euros. Having said that I think it is harsh that neither is on the plane at least, and I probably would have taken a Wharton over Mainoo. The only big miss for me is Lewis Hall, starts all day long in my team.

🧵OFFENSIVE STRUCTURES REST DEFENCE⚽️ Increasingly, teams are moving away from traditional formations such as 1-4-3-3, 1-4-4-2 or 1-3-5-2. These structures are often just a starting point — a baseline for a team’s intentions across attacking, defending, and transition moments. More and more, coaching is becoming principle-led rather than formation-led. However, structure remains vital in: • Creating positional advantages (spatial numerical overloads) • Managing transition moments • Providing clarity and reference points for players • Supporting individual quality within a collective framework In my own work, I’ve often used a 1-3-4-2-1 / 1-3-5-2 base, with the aim of arriving into different offensive structures depending on the game context. A thread:

2-3-5 Strengths: • Overload on the last line vs a back four • Strong central connections and support • Good protection against central transitions Weaknesses: • Can struggle to progress vs compact central blocks without wide options • Requires strong physical output from deeper players to cover wide spaces • Risk of being underloaded in transition without quick recovery runs

For me, structure is a tool — not the end point. What matters is how it helps players understand the game, make decisions, and adapt to different moments. There’s no perfect structure — only what best fits your players and your game model. All graphics made using the fantastic @drawtactics by @JMftbl 🤩⚽️ RT to share with others!
