This site used to be a great place for community, sharing ideas, and most importantly warmth.
Sadly now it’s a hellscape of misery, trolls, misinformation, low-quality adverts and divisive engagement farming.
It makes me sad, and I’m done.

The private company Restore Trust is now circulating a fundraising email asking for 'donations' & claiming that only 15,887 National Trust members voted against their Quick Vote resolution this year. This is not true. *69,715 members voted against it and it was defeated.* Pls RT

Turkeys are not vegetarians. Turkeys eat mice, lizards, frogs, and just about anything they can fit in their mouth. If turkeys were larger or had the technological means to farm and eat humans, their current diet reveals they likely would.

The Chancellor just let go of £27bn a YEAR (acc to the Office of Budget Responsibility) in tax cuts. So please don’t anyone ever tell me again that £7bn to build phase 2a or £6.5bn to build Euston (both ONE-OFF payments) is something the country can’t afford.
