Wow. @NJTRANSIT was put on blast for their fake bullshit.

I am the parent from this story and I want to bring an important lens. The object in the bottom right of the photo is a pediatric wheelchair. My son is disabled - he has a spinal cord injury. We were gifted 2 tickets to a World Cup game by an org that helps kids with disabilities attend major sporting events. We traveled 4 hours to NY and booked a hotel right next to Penn station, specifically bc - as anyone who is disabled or cares for a disabled person can tell you - getting around the city in a wheelchair is hell. Bc of the knicks game viewing at MSG, navigating lines, police barricades and narrow passageways where my son had to continually get in and out of his wheelchair was incredibly difficult. We were consistently given wrong info about accessibility and where we could or could not enter. NJT volunteers were so kind but wholly unprepared to help wheelchairs navigate. Elevators were either broken or added an extra 10 minutes of transit time every time we needed to use one, which was often bc the trains to MetLife were running on several different tracks. Lyfts weren’t allowed within a mile of the stadium and even people with handicap tags weren’t able to be dropped off in a private vehicle. We had atleast 10 different issues we had to troubleshoot, ask for help or rely on the kindness of strangers. I empathize with all the commuters and frustration with transit. I especially empathize with any commuters who use wheelchairs and are navigating barriers at every possible moment. Disabled people have to overprepare and overthink things that the rest of us get to underthink. I dont take any of this for granted and am grateful for the officers who heard how frustrated I was that we missed the last train by 2 minutes because of these barriers, and chose to spend 15 minutes helping a pediatric cancer survivor go have an experience of a lifetime. I also need to acknowledge that at every turn, bystanders and fans were quick to help us navigate trains, carry the wheelchair up the escalator, hold the elevator, carve pathways for us in a crowded stadium, and high five my son for being as brave as he is. Please do your part to carry this spirit forward and i hope transit systems and FIFA examine how to do better to make games every bit as accessible for disabilities as for everyone else. Being vocal and visible is the only way for things to change.

There’s something so inherently wrong with a society that can’t go 45 minutes without an ad.
🚨The 4th referee had to wait for FIFA’s broadcast team to signal the restart of USA vs. Paraguay which was delayed by commercials

Embarrassing performance for our visitors @MBTA
Boston has totally fucked up the trains. $80 a ticket and 2 hour line now, an hour train and an hour to get through security. If you’re joining the line now, you’ll miss the game. We’re in an uber. #scotland

MA pols will see how much businesses and people enjoy the month and do absolutely nothing to make it permanent. We did 3 years of Covid and public policy didn’t change despite what we learned
The extended curfew has 2 possible impacts if it works out; 1. Massachusetts could see these changes to be permanent, since these are changes that have been often discussed but never taken seriously. 2. Could be used as a positive argument for the ongoing Happy Hour discussion.

🚨 Busch Light Lime fans, this is your moment. 🚨 The wait is over... Busch Light Lime is baaaack. 🍋🍺 If it's been missing from your summer lineup, keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks as it starts rolling into stores. But make sure to grab it when you see it! You won’t be the only one looking for it.

Massachusetts has one of the least productive legislatures in the country. Last week it moved fast for once: voting 125-28 to gut the audit 72% of voters approved and block the courts from enforcing it. No hearing, 24 hours to read it. They can move quickly. Just not for you.

Boston’s Zoning Board of Appeals approves 90% of parking variance requests, with many approved projects providing 0.5 parking spaces or less per unit. If nearly every project gets relief from minimum parking requirements, perhaps the requirements themselves are the problem.

Happy I got hitched before this became the wave
Clubbing is dead and has been replaced by fitness & wellness. Ppl used to party to socialize and date but now they do things like HYROX, bathhouses, and running raves. The death of clubbing is something to be studied: — US has lost 12% of its nightclubs in the last 24 months — 25% of US adults didn’t drink at all last year — Gen Z drinks 30% less than Millennials did at the same age On the flip side: — According to Strava, the number of running clubs recorded on the platform increased 3.5x in 2025 — 72% of Gen Z go to run clubs to meet new people — Sauna and spa market: $11.8B → $22.4B by 2034 The post-alcohol economy is gonna be a massive category.
