SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY may be bringing back one of the darkest storylines in Spider-Man history and it all began in a 1994 cartoon. Peter Parker's body appears to be transforming in the new film, potentially leading to the most grotesque Spider-Man mutation ever seen on the big screen. The trailer shows Peter developing organic web-shooters, but his body isn't evolving it's mutating. If that sounds familiar, it's because the same thing happened in the 1994 animated series during the infamous "Mutation Arc." That storyline left an entire generation of kids disturbed, and now Marvel could be adapting it in live-action.
