Our CSI report from January is now on the Diocese website as well as our own website: bdes.org.uk/uploads/7/2/8/5/…
Outstanding in all nine areas and our children celebrated throughout.
Well done to Lila, Sonny, Halle and Harrison for leading Year Six in a beautiful Prayer and Liturgy session this morning, all about the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. These children are well and truly ready for their Confirmation in a few weeks time! 🔥🕊
Thank you so much to Gracie, Oscar and Aibhlinn who led Year Three in a beautiful prayer and liturgy all about the Jubilee year. We thought about how we can bring light to the world to support our brothers and sisters.
Year Four’s Liturgy focused on the Jubilee prayer today, remembering what St Teresa of Calcutta taught us “I once thought that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us and we change things.”
In Year One’s prayer and liturgy we looked at the parable of the Good Samaritan. We thought about the message it contained and how we should all try to help everyone not just our neighbours.
Year 5 are exploring creating a textured background in art today. These tissue paper backgrounds represent the sea. Next week we are creating our own fish printing stamp and will use these to print fish onto our watery backgrounds.

Arla, Tobias and Ethan asked us all to go forth and believe in ourselves in Y3’s prayer and liturgy session. We remembered how Mary had faith in God and then we wrote down lots of positive comments on everybody’s paper to remind us to have self-belief when times are hard.
Before we celebrated the launch of the Jubilee Year with @BhamDES, Year Four led their class assembly all about the themes of this Pilgrimage of Hope. They sang beautifully, including the two new @danonelifemusic songs for the Jubilee. #pilgrimsofhope
A wonderful way to gather together with other schools across our Diocese.Years 5 and 6 have joined together online to gather, prayer and share ideas of how we can fan the flames of hope during this Pilgrimage of Hope. @BhamDES
Year Three and Four are gathered together to watch the Birmingham Diocese launch of the Jubilee Year, helping us to develop our understanding of how we can become Pilgrims of Hope. @BCPP__@BhamDES
Year 5 really enjoyed their trip to Hall Green Library this afternoon. We had lots of children bring their library cards so, we need to remember to bring our books back before 20th February.
