20 years ago this week I arrived at Clemson University for my new job as Assistant Unit Leader at the SC Cooperative Research Unit. I've had great colleagues & students and am grateful for all they have taught me. And thx to the pelicans! @ClemsonCAFLS @USGSCoopUnits @SCDNR

New paper from our lab in @conphysjournal on blood biochemistry in brown pelicans from the Gulf of Mexico. It's not all about how close they are to oil and gas activity! Thx to my coauthors @project_pelican @YvanSatge & Christine Fiorello doi.org/10.1093/conphy

It's always a treat to move a manuscript folder into a new parent folder for 'completed manuscripts'.

Great news from our colleagues in Haiti, who recently found a nest of the endangered Black-capped Petrel nest on Haiti’s Highest Peak, Pic La Selle, for the first time in over 60 years! epicislands.org/first-petrel… @EPICislands @USFWSBirds @ABCbirds #TeamPetrel

What is it with reviewer 2? Do they have an inferiority complex b/c they were not Reviewer 1? Did they miss the class in Reviewer school on how to provide a good review while still being polite? Seems like someone needs to do a podcast about this.

Just got off a call with a colleague @SCDNR. She mentioned digging into theses from our lab from several years ago to pull out details on nesting from a few different species. A great reminder of the enduring value of the work our students do and how it supports our partners.

Teaching days are always a time warp...how did it get to be so late in the day already?!

We just learned of the passing of Dr. David Tonkyn who served on the faculty @ClemsonBioSci for many years. Dave had a positive impact on so many! He will be missed but his scientific legacy will carry on.
