This would be funny if SEND wasn't an urgent daily issue for v many desperate parents and pupils. If our councils were all competent and dealing well with it. If H Teachers/Sencos were not contacting their MPs almost weekly. And if SoS held regular meetings with MPs/constituents.

“Keeping the language of EHCPs creates the false impression that disabled children’s legal protections remain intact, when in reality they would be fundamentally weakened,” she told The i Paper.
The latest quarterly SEND Tribunal stats show a grim picture. New appeals 🆙 18% on the same quarter in 2025 at 6.7k, the highest quarterly rise ever—though down on the last quarter. 5.3k appeals were disposed of, with the open caseload up to 16k 🆙 13% & 42% respectively.
