I could probably talk for years about how different the two situations are but it really comes down to this for me.
The difference of stepping into the shoes of someone who is loved vs not realizing you’re loved
Rem built him up from nothing when he hated his reality whereas Emilia gave him the grace to be nothing when a heroic ideal suffocated him. Each girl succeeded because they were what his fractured psyche needed the most. They were uniquely equipped to heal his specific despair.

Saying Emilia doesn't love Subaru because she didn't say "I love you" is like saying Wilhelm doesn't love Theresia because he didn't say "I love you" too, which is bizarre considering the fact he didn't confess not even after they got married and had kids.
I hope that this scene will finally make all those who always claimed that Emilia doesn't understand love, is incapable of loving someone romantically, or would never confess her love to Subaru realize just how wrong they were.

The scene was interesting because of the look on her eyes......she wasn't pleased by what she was seeing, not Subaru crying or feeling sad, I didn't feel it was that, but something else entirely (those who knows know)
Love how they did sattela here. It was so creepy and the Emilia stuff hits ever harder bcz of it.
