Thanks @CoralSpringsFL. While the City maintains the street drains and pipes that move the water from the streets to our waterways, we maintain the water level in the 33071 zip-code area canals. Our waterways have been lowered in coordination with @SFWMD.

Our Public Works crews are out clearing storm drains ahead of the heavy rainfall expected this weekend. As a reminder, the best way to prevent flooding is to ensure your storm drains are clear of debris. We appreciate our residents helping to keep their storm drains clear.

It's flushed and makes it way down our drains, but where does it go? Our Utilities Dept. cleaned out one of our wastewater treatment plants to clear the way for an important repair to make sure Cooper City's wastewater keeps moving in the right way.
