In addition to being a cheerleader for the genocide of Palestinians, Scott has personally gotten people fired from their jobs for expressing support for a free Palestine and he pushed (& passed) legislation making it illegal for CA schools to teach the truth about Israel
Replying to @Scott_Wiener
Scott Wiener is Israel First. He has helped lead the charge in California attempting to conflate anti-Zionism with antisemitism in effort to ban criticism of the Israeli apartheid state.

Progressives: pass the first‑in‑the‑nation ban on rent price‑fixing software used by corporate landlords to jack up SF rents. “YIMBYs”: vibes, press releases, and empty promises. Once again, progressives prove they’re far more pro-housing than every YIMBY politician.

Boom. San Francisco just passed a first-in-nation ban on rent-fixing software like RealPage, which has been used to hike rents, restrict supply, and increase evictions. “This is pro-housing policy. We aim to be a model for the nation.”

I get it, after how heated things got in primary. But Saikat’s taking steps in the right direction. Helps to be welcoming to him and his supporters. We align on most core issues anyway. I’m saving all my insults for Wiener now. I don’t want to push people away by being too salty over past scuffles. Better to broaden the coalition and focus on winning.

In new reporting for @TheProspect, we detail internal documents from Bay Area abundance groups pitch the movement to tech elites as a way to take control of Democratic politics and describe a 9-figure funding stream from billionaires. (1/2)

State Sen. Scott Wiener has long been the front-runner to fill Nancy Pelosi’s seat in Congress. But voter data from the primary shows Connie Chan has a shot. 📝: @FitzTheReporter sfstandard.com/2026/06/12/mo…

This is a PAC based in suburban North County San Diego, called Americans For Opportunity, using a lobbying firm called Preston Public Affairs. It's doing boilerplate recall campaigns of all the progressive politicians in the Bay Area. Also Barbara Lee. Whose money is this?
Where is San Francisco Supervisor @JackieFielder_ ??? @RecallFielder exists because District 9 has been left without a Supervisor for 85 DAYS now. That has already COST TAXPAYERS $40,940. She secured medical leave through June 30, kept her powerful committee chairs, and disappeared during an $877,000,000 budget CRISIS. On May 1 she still found time to attend an ICE protest. She can show up for rallies. She cannot show up for the job she was elected to do. This is not illness. This is evasion. After a Waymo killed a Mission cat named KitKat (RIP), Fielder held press conferences demanding bans on self-driving cars. Then she promoted the $KITKAT memecoin on X, a PUMP-and-DUMP scheme. Multiple ethics complaints were filed for using her public office to push crypto gambling while her constituents cannot afford rent. A Democratic Socialist turning tragedy into a personal GRIFT is not leadership. On the same day the Board approved the RESET sobering center, a plan to get fentanyl addicts off the streets, a confidential City Attorney memo was leaked to the press. The investigation closed in on her office. That is municipal espionage to sabotage public safety. Her top legislative aide quit during the active LEAK probe. She checked into the hospital, floated resignation, then reversed course and locked in extended leave. She has been HIDING ever since. District 9 needs a real leader now! Follow @RecallFielder and share this if you are ready for accountability.

remember when the Chronicle editorial section fatuously suggested that Lurie was just like Zohran? yeah I don’t think Zohran has a gajillion dollar personal PR slush fund. he has working people. kind of a big difference I’d say
New: Remember that SF hype video with Steph Curry and the coyote from yesterday? A newly unearthed document shows the nonprofit behind it — Believe in SF — plans to spend ~$30M on Lurie’s agenda through 2027. Its donors are secret. sfstandard.com/2026/06/11/ma…

People who didn't/don't get AOC's endorsement failed to meet these very reasonable and appropriate tests, it's clear she's right on.
Here’s what @AOC told me about her endorsements in March: “Anybody can put up a website and put a list of policy commitments on it. We have to see: Is there a record on those commitments? What is the relationship to an on-the-ground field force like?” axios.com/2026/03/19/aoc-dem…

rent control is unambiguously a net good for renters. some building that was built in 1960 having rents set at reasonable levels is not blocking any new housing but is keeping someone housed

There will be a lot of lazy coverage about the money Tom Steyer spent in the governor's race. Fine. But here's another dollar figure that matters: $55 million. That's how much corporate interests spent against Tom and for others to maintain the status quo in Sacramento. Any other viable progressive would've been sunk by far less in business IE spending. It took them spending more than has ever been spent against a single candidate in a California primary to stop him. That tells you everything about the lengths some will go to hold onto power, and everything about the lengths we have to go to make big change for the people who need it most. Onward.

Search is a mess, but I found this. Don't forget that we already had evidence published in the chron at this point saying that Carmignani was the aggressor x.com/Scott_Wiener/status/16…

Thanks you @BrookeJenkinsSF for aggressively prosecuting this horrific crime. We need zero tolerance for this kind of violent behavior.

See Scott Wiener the guy running to take over Pelosi’s congressional seat. He got a university president canned.
Stories I keep hearing about American universities from direct participants are terrifying. Students that get job offers rescinded and the job market completely closed to them because they dared to express distress at the babies killed in Gaza. Systematic repression for the crime of being human

our State Bar-reprimanded DA @BrookeJenkinsSF trying to imprison Gaza protesters who blocked the Golden Gate Bridge for FIFTEEN YEARS is monstrous, as is her disqualifying history of bias toward Palestine protesters in general. all this to jail ppl who need drug treatment I guess
Prosecuting the Golden Gate 26 on felony charges for a potential *15 years* in prison for a four hour long protest against a U.S.-funded armed genocide is literally weaponizing the law to crush protest and dissent against injustice. This is fascist.

Beneath the nerd veneer, Scott Wiener is a bully who abuses power to inflict harm on people he most hates: people who are poor, people who are marginalized, and people who demand justice
I know there are no consequences for anyone on the right in SF, but we've really memory-holed @Scott_Wiener going to bat for MAGA chud Don Carmignani despite Don's DV conviction and allegations that he assaulted a bunch of sleeping homeless people with bear spray
