HAPPY FATHER’S DAY… to all the amazing dad’s - papa’s -pop’s -daddy’s-da-da’s and daddio’s in my life. I have such love, respect and hope for the next generation watching my 5 sons and 1 son -in -law as they parent my grandchildren. This also includes my brother, cousins, and nephews. Parenting is an endless and impossible job…Yet you get up every morning and without hesitation are ready to pour everything you have into your children. Your strength and courage bring a level of comfort and security to our homes. Thank you to my own father, that gave his all and nothing less, during an era of worldly unrest and confusion. You attempted to speak truth when it was unpopular to do so. Showing up is half the job. I am grateful for your willingness. Lastly.. Thank you for my Heavenly Father, creator of the universe, that showed us the path to righteous parenting and gave us a living- breathing guidebook for everyday family life-the Bible. PHIL ROBERTSON- His Endings and New Beginnings Here is the celebration of life for an amazing man of God, unusual as he was. Phil Robertson was the patriarch and founder of the Duck Dynasty empire. Like all of us, his journey was littered with life-changing experiences, some ugly and many beautiful. But all purposeful. If you have not had the opportunity to see the movie about his life, THE BLIND, I strongly encourage you to rent it. He also has authored many books. Here was his latest, “I Could be Wrong, But I Doubt it.” Whatever he was doing, be it living like a wild man for the devil, playing professional football with skills exceeding his good friend Terry Bradshaw, or preaching about the Christ that saved his life… He did it passionately. His greatest experience was coming to the realization that he could not live a good life, nor enter Heaven without Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Phil had to hit rock bottom and lose everything before he was willing to give his life to God. I think this video, a testimonial of his life, is one worth watching.
