8 years ago today, I began an unexpected journey from SICK to RECOVERING. I ain’t done. Today, I reflect on my struggle from the #ICU, to my new life. Grateful for this milestone & praying other EtOH’s also find Doctors & Nurses who don’t give up on them!🥰 #Walk4PICS#MedX#LOVE
Why are we building complex AI systems to detect delirium from casenotes when we could just... do a 2-minute bedside test?
The 4AT exists.
It's well-validated (33 studies).
It's free.
Sometimes clinical medicine doesn't need machine learning.

This month we've been sharing what #LongCovid looks like, through the data shared by people who've participated in our support group community over the past 5 years.
Long COVID doesn’t just affect the body. It affects relationships, work, and financial stability.
Our community reports significant impacts on family relationships (91%), friendships (82%), finances (82%), and employment(78%).
“It (Long COVID) has hijacked my life. I went from running marathons to not being able to shower every day due to fatigue. I had an incredible career and was at my peak, now I'm not able to work in any capacity due to the intense fatigue and brain injury from my COVID.”
🌄 Get ready for ADS 2026 in Denver! June 14–16, 2026, we’re gathering in the Mile High City—a place where vibrant downtown energy meets breathtaking natural beauty.
From Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre (don’t miss Yoga on the Rocks!) to the serene Denver Botanic Gardens, plus scenic walks at Washington Park and Sloan’s Lake, there’s something for every nature lover. The most universal symptoms of Long COVID among our respondents?
A full 100% report that Long COVID has caused fatigue, and more than 95% stated they now experience cognitive challenges.
These symptoms affect every part of daily life – and they are often invisible.
“My quality of life is poor because I am exhausted all the time. When I push myself to do routine self-care I can't breathe and must rest (pace) myself or I feel as if I'll pass out.”

You don’t have to be hospitalized for COVID to develop Long COVID.
87% of our respondents were never hospitalized during any of their acute COVID infections.
“I'm still affected from my COVID. I have not recovered.”
Long COVID Awareness Day is March 15.
This week – and throughout the month of March – we will share what life with Long COVID really looks like, through the voices and data shared by people who have participated in our support group community over the past five years.
For many, Long COVID is a years-long, life-altering condition. On average, our respondents have been living with Long COVID for more than 4 years. “This is a nightmare that never ends. We have no prognosis, no end in sight. Just illness day in and day out.”

It's World Delirium Awareness Day!
The word “delirium” is used to describe a severe state of confusion.
People with delirium:
• Cannot think clearly
• Have trouble paying attention
• Have a hard time understanding what is going on around them
• May see or hear things that are not there. These things seem very real to them.
Delirium is common. About 2 out of 3 patients in ICUs get delirium.
7 out of 10 patients get delirium while they are on a breathing machine or soon after.
