2 Metropolitan Police officers were tasked to guard the bodies of sisters, Bibaa Henry,46, and Nicole Smallman,27, who were stabbed to death in a Wembley park.
The police officers allegedly took "inappropriate pictures" aka selfies with the dead women and shared them around. 1/
Deniz Jaffer and Jamie Lewis, the 2 Met Police officers tasked to guard the murder scene, were sentenced (Dec 2021) to two years and nine months for taking & sharing photos of murdered sisters Nicole Smallman and Bibaa Henry / 35

Besides the racist horror and predictable pain & anguish caused to Nicole's & Bibaa's loved ones, police actions, which may have contaminated the murder scene, risked jeopardising the murder trial.

Today, as @UFFCampaign procession reaches Whitehall, a reminder of our work on #RashanCharles.
We couldn't possibly report deeply on each new death in police custody. We can't keep up. More each year, & more to come unless there's radical systemic change

Who were those two men who restrained #Rashan ?
One was a uniformed police officer. The other was just a random “member of the public”, according to the police.
But we’ve found CCTV evidence that undermines the official story.

📢Important, committed and powerful journalism from @Rebecca_Omonira and @CLARESAMBROOK at @SHINEreports.
The family of Rashan Charles have never had justice. This new documentary tells the story of his death, and the unanswered questions for those he left behind and the public.
4 years ago, Rashan Charles was restrained by Met police and died. He was 20 years old.
📺@SHINEreports have investigated since his death. In this new documentary with @novaramedia they explore the questions & serious concerns that remain. @Justice4Rashanyoutube.com/watch?v=n9Dq6QNv…

We couldn’t possibly report on, let alone investigate, every case of someone dying during or after police contact in the UK. There are so many.We can’t keep up.
Our work illuminates a recurring pattern >
