With a heavy heart, we announce that Rex Cowan has crossed the bar. At 98, Rex was still active till very recently and full of good tales, and piss & vinegar. He was a legend in commercial maritime archaeology. Fair winds and calm seas, my friend.

DRAKE'S ISLAND NOW IN #RECEIVERSHIP ,the company 'Plymouth Sound Properties' defaulted on a loan, the creditor has run out of patience & appointed a receiver. It is assumed the receiver will try to recoup their loan thru the sale of the #Island.

We were out this weekend with a fab group of volunteers at Hooe Point, in Turnchapel cleaning up the foreshore. . We filled our handy trailer from @BeASeaChanger to the brim & we need to go back as we didnt get all of the rubbish! . We collected .... 950kg of waste 27 tyres
