π¨π¨Pentagon contractors had plans to deploy "aggressive" UFO propaganda across America, utilizing mainstream media journalists to promote their "agenda".
This 2009 propaganda plan, named "Project Forum", was outlined inside a 530-page document that "leaked" earlier today. β½ΒΉβΎ
Backstory: In 2008, the Defense Intelligence Agency created a $22M program called AAWSAP and contracted Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) to execute the program objectives. β½Β²βΎ
In 2009, BAASS supposedly created a "10-month report", summing up their progress. It outlines their UFO investigations around the world and paranormal ghost hunts at Skinwalker Ranch in Utah. It also outlines several "Projects" they hoped to achieve.
One of those projects, "Project Forum" wanted to launch a massive nationwide propaganda campaign to convince US citizens that UFOs and aliens were real.
BAASS proposed approaching, grooming and even π¨HIRINGπ¨ "journalists" within the mainstream media to "promote the BAASS agenda". They planned to begin the propaganda campaign by targeting California.
But the Pentagon claims all of this was unsanctioned, and done by rogue officials doing their own thing without permission.
On page 23 of a 2024 report β½Β³βΎ, the Pentagon briefly mentions (admits?) this proposed propaganda effort but states, "DIA did not seek, nor specifically authorize, this work". It's inferred that, while proposed, it never actually happened.
The Pentagon claims they pulled BAASS / AAWSAP's funding in 2010, ending it in 2012.
