Any tankie, vatnik or peacenik care to justify this? Thought not.

.@Dom_Hallas is right. These aren't normal times. The £1.1bn AI Hardware Plan is a serious first step. It backs the layer underneath the models with the national infrastructure to deliver it, and engineers to run it. Own that layer and you're much harder to cut off, which is what long-term resilience looks like. But a plan like that takes years to pay off, and we are exposed now. So we need to go hard at the ground we hold. Fix planning rules. Get energy costs down. Up-skill our people and get the infrastructure built in places that benefit most. This is ours to deliver and every month we wait is a month we don’t get back. And I hope this will be part of the conversation with @bbclaurak tomorrow...
I've written about Anthropic, the kill switch, and what it means for Britain. Successive Governments have taken AI seriously in the context of 'normal times'. But these are not normal times. We need to respond now to ensure Britain isn't left behind. open.substack.com/pub/startu…

Hints at possible leadership bid ☑️☑️☑️
“I haven’t been included in the defence investment plan from the start. I only got read into it two weeks ago.” Al Carns shares what “ruffled [his] feathers” enough to prompt him to resign as armed forces minister and says that in the event of a leadership race, “if someone fires a starting gun, I’m not scared of gunfire.”

A British drone industry would not be a cost. It would be a renaissance. British kit, designed here, built here, used by our forces and sold to our allies. War has already changed. Britain needs to as well. dailymail.com/debate/article…

We owe those who serve the UK the kit to do the job and the loyalty to stand by them when it's done. We are failing on both. I’ve spent my whole time in government making that case. Number 10 will not listen, so I am resigning as Minister for the Armed Forces. Letter to the PM below.🫡🫡🫡⬇️⬇️

BATTLE DAMAGE ASSESSMENT: 🇷🇺Corvette Boikiy Devastated (🧵1/2) High Res📷 of the Steregushchiy Class corvette Boikiy inside the Dry Dock at Kronstadt shows substantial damage following the June 3 deep-strike 🇺🇦drone operation. 🔸 Primary Impacts: The structural core is heavily compromised. Asymmetrical shadow depression shows exactly where the mainmast and primary radar deck completely collapsed inward and downward after severe bucking from severe heat. 🔸 Mission Systems: The strike directly targeted the vessel's neural network— likely gutting her air-search radar, targeting radar, and EW arrays Source: @vantortech Date: 8 June 2026

Russia is an enemy of the UK. It's a hostile state that has killed British citizens. They have committed terror attacks on British soil and invaded our allies. Any so-called Brits that support the Putin regime are traitors. The lowest rung of hell is reserved for them.

Predictably, the MAGA fanbase mobilised for this post. I have one question for all of you. What the hell does it have to do with you anyway what happens on our beaches or borders. You want to follow an isolationist policy, so fix your own country and leave us to fix ours…

Did anyone dig into historical media about Auginish Alumina? There is some real eyebrow raisers 😳 The Irish Independent reported back in 2013 that a highly profitable Auginish Alumina paid just €1,952 in total corporation tax over 5 years despite €191 million in sales 🤔 1/3

Our story of Russia’s war on NATO in 2030 is the act of a desperate man trapped by his failure in Ukraine, the state of Russia’s economy, and his own inevitable mortality. Does he have one last chance to save his position & secure a legacy? Read it here: airspacepower.com/aspa-e-boo…
A recent analysis stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war goals were now unachievable. The report appeared to be a further sign of growing dissent at the top of Russia’s political establishment. Read more here: wapo.st/43KPZgj

Ireland cannot pretend to operate a “values based” foreign policy if we continue to protect a Russian oligarch owned company which sends its products to Russia to slaughter Ukrainian civilians. Only 0.6% of the alumina goes to other EU states, according to Irish Times.

🚨According to RTÉ (Irish State news) - the European Commission requires more thought and time before sanctioning Alumina to Russia. This is very encouraging. It might not make the next package but it’s on the table and we all need to up our game, keep emailing and boosting!

Instead of sympathy and condemnations, NATO and Europe need to act now: - The entire eastern-facing NATO perimeter must be covered with air defence and anti-drone capabilities. - Any unidentified flying object heading toward NATO airspace must be intercepted and, if necessary, shot down. - Every russian hybrid attack must be met with a response. If you touch a hot stove and it does not burn, you will touch it again. - NATO needs to dust off its Cold War deterrence playbook and mass serious troop numbers near its eastern borders for deterrence. - The EU must impose a full visa ban on russian citizens. - Every flow of money, goods and technology from Europe to russia, directly or indirectly, must be reduced to zero.

Rupert Lowe, Gill and the European destabilization group. Rupert clearly says that Nigel and Nathan were very close. He clearly says that Gill, head of reform Wales at the time and paid by russia, was hosting meetings to recruit people to his pro Russian Putin ally friends. He did this alongside his close friend Farage. Gill was an MEP for 6 years alongside Farage. Farage in the EU chamber would on record state verbatim what Gill was paid to say. He would advocate for what russia paid Gill to do and help destabilize Europe and the UK as to the benefit of Russia. Rupert claims he attended their pro Russian European destabilization group, but only once. Rupert is a smart guy, I don't believe for a fucking moment that anyone in Reform wasn't aware that Farage and Gill were openly pro russian. It blows my mind that it would take till years later for Rupert to admit to Gills pro russin meeting as he enacted what the Russians had paid him to do. I can forgive him for not knowing of the criminality, of bribes, or that knowing Gill and Farage had even met the paying Russian husband and wife. What I can't forgive, is that Rupert heard Nigel and Gills words and opinions on Russia and still joined them, years before. As someone outside reform I can clearly see the russian themes. Rupert knows full well that Farage is just the same as Gill. Farage has always been pro russian. Tenet is used by russian oligarchs to avoid sanctions. Tenet has donated 5 mil to Farage and around 16mil to Reform. Until Rupert openly states that he is anti russian imperialism, that he does stand politically with our allies in Europe. Understands our defense is international, and not isolated. And most of all, until he calls out Farage openly for what Farage is, I'll consider him no better. x.com/i/status/1977626602474…
