After a busy weekend for @IRScotland volunteers at the Halal Food Festival 2024 in SEC Glasgow, SPMA were happy to lend a helpful hand, helping tidy up the IR Hub in time for the First Minister of Scotland John Swnney’s visit to the hub and IR charity shop.
In collaboration with @HeriotWattUni and other partners, we have produced British Sign Language videos which provide accessible information about domestic abuse to the deaf communities.

Our Secretary General @KhalKabbani , recently attended a moving event organised by the Lebanese community in Scotland. The event celebrated the spirit of the Lebanese diaspora. The SPMA is proud to foster trust and collaboration with the diverse communities we serve.
SPMA Chair @safdarsadiq & Secretary General @khalkabbani shared the push for Virtual Autopsy live on @awazfm with Tehmina & Lata. PMCT tech, widely used in England, Wales (since 2003), & now N. Ireland, ensures dignity, respects cultural values, & delivers forensic precision.
The SPMA were honoured to attend @PSOSCollege represented by Vice Chair Fahad Bashir and Member Fereshteh Hosseini to deliver an input to the Norwegian Police Delegation, providing information around EDI work and the benefits of staff associations within @PoliceScotland.
SPMA in partnership with Glasgow Central Mosque Youth Club and Scottish Ambulance Service gave an input to 40 youths between 14-16yrs of age, raising awareness of career path options in Policing, Forensics and Paramedics followed by sports activities & equipment demonstrations

SPMA supporting Scottish Lebanese Society and Clarkston Community Centre with their international humanitarian work in collecting, packaging and shipping medical supplies to Lebanon.
SPMA are proud to serve and support our local communities, helping provide food items to Police Scotland Youth Volunteers who will be preparing Christmas Food Hampers destined for Good Morning Service and Golden Generation service users.
#NoStrikeFairPay Police Officers are protesting outside the Scottish Police Authority meeting this morning over our treatment over pay. Other public services have received 5.5%, which is what we are asking for. We are being offered 4.75%. The anger from colleagues is palpable.
