On this day in 1948, President Harry S. Truman signed the Women's Armed Services Integration Act, enabling women to serve as permanent, regular members of the U.S. Armed Forces. #WomenVeteransDay is set aside to thank to all women who have served in our #military.
Thank you to all women veterans past and present - and a special thanks for all of our women Legionnaires out there who made that sacrifice.
