Just because lactate will be sky high for Dricus and Khamzat doesn’t mean they’re “anaerobic” and not using the aerobic energy system. Lactate is being shuttled to the brain, heart, and muscles as a preferred fuel source during intense exchanges in the octagon.

For you watching this, it means having consistent high intensity conditioning throughout your training year will ensure you develop aerobic adaptations to use lactate as fuel efficiently.

The fighter who has trained to better transport and use lactate as fuel is the one better prepared for dealing with high intensity championship rounds.

I got complimented on the power of my kicks today from a Kyokushin guy at my Muay Thai gym. This was the 2nd compliment. First was last month, given by the coach's son. This validates the S&C programming that I did most of last year based on the knowledge shared by @SSOFighting

Balance is a task specific quality. Meaning standing on a wobbleboard etc won't make you more "balanced" for [insert sport here]
