How do you peak for 2 fights in 7 days? I love the problem solving aspect to performance. When one of my boxers recently decided to fight twice in a week, here’s how I set up the camp to ensure he was ready 👇🏼

6d out: intensive aerobic interval top up. Cut volume by 35%, maintain intensity, monitor HR recovery 5d out: fight plan, shadow boxing, recovery swim 4/3/2/1 days out: fight warmup in evening, light pads. <1 min rounds, no fatigue. Fight 2: boxer wins unanimous decision.

2 takeaways: 1: maintain a high chronic training load year round, making it easier to drop volume and peak. 2: test frequently to learn what qualities detrain/retain Performance is built on confidence, confidence is built with the right training.
