Fire today on Lee Valley Rd near Cutler Lake Road started in the yard and spread to a barn & bush surrounding a residence.Sables-Spanish, Espanola and Baldwin Fire Departments attended the scene until after midnight & were able to save the occupants residence. No injuries.

2022-07-27 16:00 SSRFD is currently on scene at an accident on Old Webbwood road, just outside of Webbwood. Public is advised to avoid using Old Webbwood Road as traffic is down to one lane as cleanup continues. An update will be issued when the incident is cleared.

SSRFD called to 3 concurrent brush fires along Agnew Lake Road at 13:30 today. Despite strong winds, the fires were extinguished before spreading to nearby homes. Thanks to Baldwin Fire Dept for their assistance. Suspected cause of larger fire: cigarette butt.

SSRFD responded to a report of a bush fire in the area of West Lake. It was determined the fire started from an unattended camp fire. MNR was called to assist with extinguishing the fire. This is a reminder that burning during the DAYTIME & during WINDY conditions is PROHIBITED

Be advised: emergency crews have been called to locate a person missing in the Chutes Park area. The public is asked to avoid the Mouth, the Massey bridge area and Chutes Park beach which is now closed. OPP and Search & Rescue have taken over the scene.
