NFA has space available for weekend classes scheduled on June 26-28 and July 10-12. Check-in is on Friday evening, classes begin on Saturday morning and end Sunday afternoon. You can find the available classes at usfa.fema.gov/nfa/programs/s…

All training is at the NETC in Emmitsburg, MD. The training is free of charge, lodging is provided, all course materials are provided. Your cost is your time and purchasing a meal ticket on campus. Classes will be filled on a first come/first serve basis.

Severe thunderstorms capable of large to very large hail and damaging winds are possible today from parts of the northern High Plains across northern Nebraska and much of South Dakota. More isolated occurrences of large hail and damaging winds appear possible farther south across portions of the central Plains. weather.gov

A yellow “slight risk” area for severe thunderstorms stretches from eastern Montana and northeastern Wyoming across western and central South Dakota into southern Minnesota, including areas near Billings, Rapid City, Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, and west of Minneapolis. A broader dark green “marginal risk” area surrounds the slight-risk region and extends southward through Nebraska, Kansas, and parts of Oklahoma, while reaching east into Iowa and southern Minnesota. Light green shading indicates a wider thunderstorm area covering much of the northern Plains, Upper Midwest, and portions of the central Plains. In March, we awarded $625 million to empower all 11 #FIFAWorldCup host cities to strengthen security preparations at match venues, hotels and transportation hubs. These funds will enable state and local officials to keep residents and visitors safe throughout the tournament.
