As cities in India work towards adapting themselves for climate resilience, let's talk about the role of buses in enabling it.
On #WorldCleanAirDay we asked ourselves,
Who are our Clean Air Heroes?
They are people using public transport, bicycles and walking to move around the city. No capes, just simple acts making sure there is that much less pollution in our cities.

Given that #buses connect people to their ambitions, dreams & leisure, it comes as no surprise that even master-blaster used to prefer @myBESTBus to go to Shivaji Park where he learnt his first lessons in #Cricket

SUM Net India in collaboration with Greenpeace India, Reclaiming The Bus campaign and Delhi BusYatri Union has released A report тАЬBustling Through The City,тАЭ it captures the experiences, emotions and challenges of bus users and predominantly Delhi Transport Corporation bus users.
Report shows, a majority of the respondents did not own personal vehicles, showing that public transport, while reducing emissions, is also an accessible, equitable mode of transport for citizens in Delhi.
Around 40% of the respondents also felt bus services should be made free for all and could be made more convenient with facilities like toilets at bus stops.
