The recreational boating industry has until June 2 to comment on the future of NOAA’s North Atlantic Right Whale Vessel Strike Reduction Rule.
A smart rule should protect right whales and preserve safe navigation, public water access, and local jobs. It should use updated science, new technology, and real vessel-specific risk – not one-size-fits-all restrictions. Commerce and conservation can coexist.
