A Thrilling End
#OnThisDay in 2001, India defeated Australia by 2 wickets in Chennai to win the series 2–1, after trailing 0–1.
@harbhajan_singh starred with figures of 7/133 and 7/84 in the Test, becoming the first and still the only Indian to take four consecutive five-wicket hauls in Tests (7/123, 6/73, 7/133, 7/84).
Fittingly, the winning runs came off Harbhajan’s bat. He finished the series with 32 wickets; the next best was just three (Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan).
