Most Bible commentaries state that the site of the Garden of Eden was in the Middle East, but what does Scripture actually tell us? Exactly where was the Garden of Eden? Many times we just believe something because someone told us or we read it somewhere. But as Christians, we should always be reminded to be like the Bereans described in the book of Acts: “Now these [Berean] Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so” (Acts 17:11). Now most Bible commentaries state that the site of the Garden of Eden was in the Middle East, situated somewhere near where the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers are today. This is based on the description given in Genesis 2:8–14: “The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden. . . . Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. The name of the first is Pishon . . . . The name of the second river is Gihon. . . . The name of the third river is Hiddekel [Tigris]. ;. . . The fourth river is the Euphrates.” Even the great theologian John Calvin struggled over the exact location of the Garden of Eden. In his commentary on Genesis he states: “Moses says that one river flowed to water the garden, which afterwards would divide itself into four heads. It is sufficiently agreed among all, that two of these heads are the Euphrates and the Tigris; for no one disputes that . . . (Hiddekel) is the Tigris. But there is a great controversy respecting the other two. Many think that Pison and Gihon are the Ganges and the Nile; the error, however, of these men is abundantly refuted by the distance of the positions of these rivers. Persons are not wanting who fly across even to the Danube; as if indeed the habitation of one man stretched itself from the most remote part of Asia to the extremity of Europe. But since many other celebrated rivers flow by the region of which we are speaking, there is greater probability in the opinion of those who believe that two of these rivers are pointed out, although their names are now obsolete. Be this as it may, the difficulty is not yet solved. For Moses divides the one river which flowed by the garden into four heads. Yet it appears, that the fountains of the Euphrates and the Tigris were far distant from each other.” Calvin recognized that the description given in Genesis 2 concerning the location of the Garden of Eden does not fit with what is observed regarding the present Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. God’s Word makes it clear that the Garden of Eden was located where there were four rivers coming from one head. No matter how one tries to fit this location in the Middle East today, it just can’t be done. Interestingly, Calvin goes on to say: “From this difficulty, some would free themselves by saying that the surface of the globe may have been changed by the deluge. . . .” This is a major consideration that needs to be taken into account. The worldwide, catastrophic Flood of Noah’s day would have destroyed the surface of the earth. If most of the sedimentary strata over the earth’s surface (many thousands of feet thick in places) is the result of this global catastrophe as creationists believe, then we would have no idea where the Garden of Eden was originally located—the earth’s surface totally changed as a result of the Flood. Not only this, but underneath the region where the present Tigris and Euphrates Rivers are located, there exists hundreds of feet of sedimentary strata—a significant amount of which is fossiliferous. Such fossil-bearing strata had to be laid down at the time of the Flood. Also creationists believe there was one major continent before the Flood which was totally changed by various processes during and after the Flood. The continents today bear little or no resemblance to what existed before the Flood. Therefore, no one can logically suggest that the area where the present Tigris and Euphrates Rivers are today is the location of the Garden of Eden, for this area is sitting on Flood strata containing billions of dead things (fossils). The perfect Garden of Eden can’t be sitting on billions of dead things before sin entered the world! This being the case, the question then is, why are there rivers named Tigris and Euphrates in the Middle East today? In my native country of Australia, one will recognize many names that are also used in England (e.g., Newcastle). The reason is that when the settlers came out from England to Australia, they used names they were familiar with in England to name new places/towns in Australia. Another example is the names given to many rivers in the United States. There is the Thames River in Connecticut, the Severn River in Maryland, and the Trent River in North Carolina—all named for prominent rivers in the UK. In a similar way, when Noah and his family came out of the ark after it landed in the area we today call the Middle East (the region of the Mountains of Ararat), it would not have been surprising for them to use names they were familiar with from the pre-Flood world (e.g., Tigris and Euphrates), to name places and rivers, etc., in the world after the Flood. Ultimately, we don’t know where the Garden of Eden was located. To insist that the garden was located in the area around the present Tigris and Euphrates Rivers is to deny the catastrophic effects of the global Flood of Noah’s day, and to allow for death before sin. That’s why I believe this question is important. We live at a time where secularists deny a global flood, and sadly many Christians have relegated Noah’s Flood to some local event because they’ve been impacted by the belief in millions of years. Yes, lets be Bereans, not just for where the Garden of Eden was located, but with everything we believe. Let’s make sure we test our beliefs against the absolute authority of the Word of God!

MY PUBLIC ADVICE TO PRESIDENT TRUMP'S LEGAL TEAM ... The Biden administration has created a legal morass never seen or experienced in American history, as applies to a presidential election. The attorney general, appointed by the Democrat president, is authorizing indictment after indictment of his president's possible if not likely political opponent in the middle of a presidential election cycle. He is doing so through his appointment of a special counsel, whose appointment was a misapplication of the special counsel regulation, and whose charges must be approved by the attorney general. (By the way, as an important side issue, Jack Smith is not a presidential appointee; he never even stood for confirmation by the Senate to hold the position he holds and to exercise the authority he is exercising against a party opponent.) It should be noted at the same time, the attorney general refuses to appoint an outside special counsel to investigate his client, Joe Biden, despite the fact that the DOJ regulation was originally instituted for these exact circumstances. Of course, this underscores the purpose and motive of what is taking place before us today. The attorney general is approving the timing of dozens of charges against the former Republican president, who is actively seeking his party's nomination to challenge the Democrat president for whom he directly reports, which are intended to cripple the ability of Donald Trump to effectively run for president, regardless of what polls show today. And regardless of what the commentariat say, and despite President Trump's strength within the Republican Party, the outcome of the election is unknown. Therefore, the polls are irrelevant in this regard. Moreover, as further evidence that these indictments are being used as political weapons are the timing of the charges -- specifically, all of these charges by the separate grand juries, all controlled by the special counsel, should have been filed AFTER the election, as there was no possibility the statute of limitations would run on any of them. Further, the special counsel repeatedly insists that the charges must be quickly adjudicated, meaning before the people vote, for the purpose of having maximum influence on the election. In addition, the charges have resulted in the significant depletion of Trump's campaign funds to pay for millions in legal fees. Trump has to take significant time from campaigning to address the dozens of charges dropped on him by the Biden administration -- that is, he has to expend an enormous amount of time working with his lawyers in order to defend himself from charges that, collectively, would result in his imprisonment until his death. The fact is that this kind of legal warfare against a presidential and possible if not likely opponent to the present president, is not only unprecedented in the history of our republic it will destroy our electoral system for all time. It is not something that should left to various district courts or local courts to sort out in the course of regular judicial proceedings. In fact, that is part of the intended strategy by the prosecutors who are engaged in this assault on our electoral system. They must not be rewarded for their behavior. They must not be rewarded for their treachery and exploitation of the legal system and the courts to achieve their political ends. Even without getting to the merits of these multitude of charges, which are easily unraveled from my perspective, the process is what is being used to interfere with the election. And the near silence by those who are orchestrating this shocking legal warfare, when the American people are left in the dark, is untenable. Therefore, I want to publicly encourage the Trump legal team to seek an emergency hearing before the U.S. Supreme Court, not to resolve legal disputes, but to at least temporarily halt the abomination of this legal warfare that is unfolding in front of us -- where Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans are unashamedly celebrating the use of the courts by the Biden administration and Democrat DA's to further their political wishes, as the rest of the nation watches in shock. This unprecedented legal warfare requires an unprecedented response by the only constitutional body left that can do something about it -- the Supreme Court.

When I was 12 years old (seems like millions of years ago now), I went to a fancy dress party (American translation: costume party) at the school in Australia where my father was the principal. I’ve never forgotten what I was dressed as—it is indelibly imprinted on my mind! I think you will laugh when you hear what it was, but it represented one of those many defining moments in my life, especially considering the ministry God clearly led me into at Answers in Genesis. We had moved to a country town in North Queensland and had started attending a local church. My parents were so upset when they heard the pastor of that church telling the congregation they could believe in evolution. My father told us we could not stay in that church as adding evolution into the Bible was an attack on the authority of God’s Word. He understood, and had taught us, that Genesis 1-11 was the foundation of all doctrine and for the rest of the bible. I grew up understanding the foundational importance of Genesis from my father, sadly, not from the church! My father (and the ministry of AiG) understood that the idea of evolution and millions of years is not just a side issue or just about how people understand Genesis 1–11, but has an impact on the bible’s authority. What we believe about Genesis has consequences for how we read and understand the entire Bible—including the New Testament and especially the gospel! I am so grateful my father never wavered and always stood for the truth of God’s Word. He loved verses stating phrases like, “have you not read,” and “it is written.” He was adamant about the absolute authority of Scripture. He saw compromise with God’s Word as putting people on a slippery slide of doubt and unbelief through Scripture. He was so adamant about never undermining God’s Word. That’s why he was so passionate about biblical authority. In June 1995, my late brother, Robert, was sitting with my father in the hospital (my dad died on June 9, 1995). Robert asked Dad, “Why did you love God’s Word so much?” My dad explained that his father had died when he was 16, and so he didn’t have an earthly father to talk to any longer. This caused him to turn to the words of his heavenly father and read them over and over again. He saturated himself in the Word of God. Growing up in our family, we could all see that our father hated compromise. In 2 Timothy 1:14, the Apostle Paul gave Timothy the following command: “By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.” My father guarded every word of God’s truth and entrusted that Word to his children. He was often studying what the liberal scholars were saying, and then explaining to his children why they were wrong. He didn’t want us to be led astray and doubt or not believe God’s Word because of false teaching. As I’ve often told people, I learned to smell liberal theology a million miles away because of how our father trained us. This gives you a little background as to why my father was so distressed with this pastor’s teaching that evolution was God’s supposed way of bringing life into existence. Well, needless to say, we quickly changed churches! I remember all this, but most of all I remember my parents’ uncompromising stand on God’s Word! They taught me to stand up for all the teachings of Scripture, no matter what anyone else might say. What an impact this had on me! Well, with evolution on our minds, the school’s annual fancy dress (costume) party date was approaching. My creative mother used to make the costumes we would wear to such events. For this particular event, my parents came up with what we could call a “pun costume,” to poke fun at evolution. I certainly knew this costume meant that evolution was not true! I was dressed as an ape, (with an ape mask on my face and brown overall type clothing) hold a pot with a small tree in it with a sign stating, “Our Family Tree.” People thought it was hilarious as it was a poke at evolution. Sort of ironic isn’t it, that I wore such a costume and now see the ministry the Lord call me to that proclaims the truth of creation and exposes the lie of evolution. How grateful I am that God led me into a ministry to help counteract the false teaching of evolution in the church and the culture! When people see the ministry of Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, and the Ark Encounter, they are amazed at what God has done. So many have asked me to share with them how all this came about. I did produce a video of my testimony that is available on our streaming platform Answers.TV. It’s called Fire in my Bones. It’s amazing for me to look back and see the Lord’s Hand in my upbringing to prepare me for the ministry I’ve been involved in since the 70’s. One event from my past I remember well is the time my mother’s mother (we called her Nanna) was standing on the steps of her farmhouse—Bible in her hand—preaching to Jehovah’s Witness representatives who came visiting. I can still see her walking down the stairs following them as they turned to leave, and she kept following them, holding up her Bible, as she continued to teach them from the Bible! I could tell of many other events, but so many like this had such an impact on my life in regard to standing boldly, unashamedly, and uncompromisingly on the authority of God’s Word from the very first verse. Think about what impact your life is having spiritually on others, on your children, grandchildren and so on. I thank God for godly parents who raised children to believe God’s Word as the absolute authority. This powerful evangelistic ministry started with them and continues with the millions who have been and continue to be impacted by this bible upholding ministry. “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward” (Psalm 19:7-11).

What I’m about to say to you is meant with love & respect: I understand how upset voters are w/ the Republican Party leadership. I’ve been reaching out to Chairwoman McDaniel for 110 days w/o a response. With that being said, I’m here for one reason — to make Joe Biden a one-term president. Despite the fact that the GOP won’t listen to the grassroots, I’m cognizant that many states have closed primaries. This means that you can’t vote for Trump or DeSantis until you’re registered as a Republican. If you change your voter registration status to independent, you are actually hurting Trump & DeSantis, as you won’t be able to vote in AZ, CA, CT, DE, FL, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, & PA.
