One of the grimmest political tricks of the last 15 years has been convincing the public that disabled people are a bigger economic threat than tax avoidance, private outsourcing failures, or housing costs.

Why is it that the people who claim to care passionately about our sovereignty, paint flags on roundabouts, etc, are so willing to do what powerful foreigners tell them? Why can't they see that they are the real threat to our sovereignty? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crlp…

For some reason, this Christmas card I made some years ago comes to mind. Not sure what the title should be. "The Voters' Dilemma"? "The Death of Democracy"?

📢 Happening today, Monday 13th April, 6.00pm BST. Should be good. Still time to register...
Following the recommendation of the #Covidinquiry there's been explosive news from CATA about the coverup from 2020 on #PPE which still dominates guidance in the #NHS and led to the death of thousands of #HCWs Monday 13th April 6pm Register tinyurl.com/3t976nft #Covid #Health

😡How utterly sickening and unforgivable: we sacrificed our own children’s hearts to lasting damage and Long-COVID, all in service of pathetic zero-risk SarsCoV2 theatre!💔 "Even in the absence of overt cardiovascular disease, children with prior SARS-CoV-2 infection experience persistent subclinical cardiac changes and symptoms consistent with Long-COVID." internationaljournalofcardio…

Now that the stone has been lifted and wrongdoing flushed out into the daylight, will there be legal cases taken against the perpetrators? It's not enough to demonstrate wrongdoing has taken place. Those responsible surely need to face justice.
Great opportunity to hear from someone who's worked tirelessly with CATA colleagues to unpack the UK Big Covid Cover-up of its transmission mode, how it was done, by whom & what drove it. To this day the denial persists. To this day healthcare workers use the wrong facemasks 😡

This debate was a shining example of the Scottish Parliament at its best. Thank you to all MSPs, however you voted, for listening to constituents who took different views, researching, reflecting & wrestling with what to do for the best, for Scotland. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c33j…

Once in place, it could become ever more coercive, as support is increasingly removed from groups any future govt doesn't value, rendering lives ever more impossible, driving them to 'choose' death. Good intentions today can open the door to bad ones tomorrow.

Any one of us could find ourselves (or loved ones) sick/ disabled/ elderly or facing a difficult death. So every one of us should unite to ensure as a priority that support throughout life, from cradle to grave, is in place for all when needed.

Tonight the Scottish Parliament voted NO to legalising assisted suicide in Scotland by 69 votes to 57 Thank you to the MSP's who listened to the evidence & experiences of all those with concerns about this Bill Hopefully Westminster will follow the Scottish Parliament's example
In the end more MSPs understood that the risks were too great. For now. As this BBC headline makes clear, the battle is far from over. We must continue to make the case that disabled people's voices and concerns must be central to this debate. bbc.co.uk/news/live/cx2grl77…

I'd add that the fact sick/ disabled people don't have choice over how they live their lives or access to health (inc mental health, palliative care) services is a political choice. So is instead giving them choice to die. Can people not see the danger of where this could lead?
Pam Duncan-Glancy tells @heraldscotland she feels 'sick' ahead of the assisted dying bill as she shares her concerns over safeguards for disabled people and urges MSPs to vote against the proposals. Read the latest on our live blog: heraldscotland.com/news/2594…

GDA recognises that many people hold differing views on the principle of #AssistedDying. Regardless of people’s views on the principle of Assisted Dying, it is widely accepted by multiple professional bodies that this Bill is unsafe. This is why we’re urging MSP’s to VOTE NO

MSPs vote today on the assisted dying Bill. Many will wrestle with what to do. The right thing to do is vote against because no training can ensure coercion is detected & no 'safeguards' can't be got round & later removed. This Bill is dangerous. I'm scared by where it will lead.

I have the honour to work with people with Long Covid and their organisations, like Long Covid Scotland and Long Covid Kids Scotland. They have my utmost admiration. Please support them if you can.
Today 15/3 is International #LongCovidAwarenessDay & landmarks will be lit up in teal (campaign colour). Awareness is much needed - that people still get it, most are working age, had no health issues, there's no cure & few services - & that it's an indoor air quality issue.
