I gave one specific experience in the replies, but I tend to not do very many collabs in general unless they're close friends. But the main reasons I dont are-
1. I'm horrible at most games and have to be carried. I've had way too many people very obviously get annoyed when I'm struggling.
2. I have this insane fear that the other streamer(s) will think I'm clout chasing if I ask to collab. So I'm happy to sit on the sidelines and support them.
Do you guys have any bad collab experiences?
My worst one was a couple years ago with a VTuber. We were supposed to play Valorant together, but something came up on their end. They canceled less than an hour before we were scheduled to go live. I get that emergencies happen, so I reached out to reschedule⦠and got completely ghosted. A short while later, they even unfollowed me.
We had similar-sized audiences, so it wasnβt like I was a nobody to them. I was just left hanging with nothing. I hope they were okay, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.
