It’s 3 am on the last day of @GovInslee ‘s 12 years as WA’s governor, and I’m up feeding my 1 week old daughter.

And it would not be right to talk about Gov’s service without mentioning Trudi, who spent these 12 years serving the state and advocating for many of Gov’s accomplishments that will impact my daughter and other women in WA for decades to come.

It was the honor of a lifetime to work for Jay Inslee. I’m so proud every day to be a part of pushing his climate legacy forward at @evergreenaction, but nothing tops my gratitude to him for what he has done for my daughter and her future.

By rejecting Initiative 2117, voters in Washington State sustained an ambitious climate law that caps carbon emissions and uses money from major polluters to invest in environmental programs.
