Stocks usually go up most of the time. That's 100% true.

It’s been a terrific week of Europeans experiencing and opining on all the great things in America. I’ve been talking up hot American breakfast and black coffee for a while. But this gentleman absolutely nails why we’re doing temperature right

β€œThe company's IPO went off without a hitch, raising $75 billion, with its shares rising 19% on their first day of trading. While it was the largest IPO ever, it was a drop in the bucket given that the Wilshire 5000 has a $74 trillion market cap (chart).”
Analysts now expect S&P 500 earnings to grow 24% annually over the next five years. That's double the average since 1985 and a record high. πŸ”’ Members-Only quicktak.es/mr9y

Everyone should listen to this and the Odd Lots podcast about the market for dinosaur fossils. Both are fascinating for a ton of reasons. I particularly love hearing from people with jobs that combine professional skill sets like law, consulting, and dealing with what are unfortunately sometimes considered unemployable curiosities like art history and paleontology. I feel lucky to have made a career that combines my skills with my curiosities. That said, I wish I had heard from more people like this when I was in high school and college.

Our guest on @maryinamerica this week is @LAmineddoleh, the most renowned lawyer in art repatriation and cultural heritage law. She says one of the hardest parts about authenticating works and identifying forgeries is that people simply want to believe the art they found is real. Buoyed by hope, they literally see things that aren’t there. Leila joins us on a new episode of Mary in America, out now, to discuss stolen history, how art gets back to its home, and how a $34.99 bust at a Goodwill in Texas ended up being worth much, much more.

A train ride from Manhattan to MetLife Stadium for the World Cup costs nearly $100. So TIME's Sean Gregory walked 13 miles from Penn Station to see if getting to New Jersey mostly on foot was a cheaper alternative. Here's how long it tookβ€”and what it cost.

$SPCX ended up doing $85b in volume. Gargantuan number. Easily a record for an IPO and in the Top 10 all time for any stock on any day. For context, it's more volume than Apple has ever done in 40yrs. Nice job @StevenUhey he guessed the closest of anyone in my replies with $69b.
POOL: What do you think Day One volume will be for $SPCX? I'm going with $58b. (for context $BABA and $META each did about $25b on their respective Day Ones and more recently Cerebras did $11b).
