Leaders need to be into the morale building business. It’s not as much about time off and cookies, although they’re super helpful. It’s about making people feel valued & part of something greater than themselves. Leaders literally control this power. And it produces results.

Here's to Bill Russell, a leadership icon who was misunderstood & underappreciated in his time and remains so today. He was, and still is, the greatest team captain in the history of sports.
In the late seconds of Game 7 of the '57 NBA Finals, Bill Russell made the single greatest defensive play in league history, if not sports history. It's known as the Coleman Play. boston.com/sports/boston-cel…

In 1975, Bill Russell declined to attend his own Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The mystery of WHY would linger for the next 41 years.
