I welcome the sanctions that the Foreign Secretary has announced, but strong advice to businesses will not work. The mechanisms exist for an outright ban and it is essential that we pursue that. I’ve secured a Parliamentary debate on banning settlement goods and I’m looking forward to hearing the opinions from across the divide. I’m not the only politician calling for this.

Israel responds to Iran's retaliatory strikes by cutting off all aid to Gaza. This is a state which routinely collectively punishes civilians as a tactic of war. This is monstrous, and it is also a grave war crime.
🚨BREAKING: Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza and halted the entry of humanitarian aid following Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Israel, cutting off supplies to roughly 2 million Palestinians in the territory. Israel has imposed similar blanket closures during previous periods of regional escalation, including immediately after the outbreak of war in late February, collectively punishing Gaza’s civilian population.

The JP Morgan report has been in the public domain since 2019 and clearly evidences Mandelson's relationship with Epstein. Why wasn't this picked up?

I urge everyone to watch this report by Channel 4 News about Israel’s killing of Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil. “Under international humanitarian law, journalists are afforded the same protection as civilians… If that journalist has a particular sympathy with a particular cause, that doesn’t mean that protection is removed… … the IDF said the incident is under review. Don’t hold your breath…” Providing the necessary context and not taking Israel’s claims at face value. This is how every journalist should be reporting.

Israel’s murder of journalists continues. The details of what happened to Amal Khalil are horrific. The Red Cross tried to rescue her but were themselves fired on. How is Israel allowed such total impunity? Why is the international press not in uproar?
Civil Defence crews were finally able to access the site where Leb journalist Amal Khalil was trapped under rubble but only hours later. They retrieved her body. Her newspaper Al Akbar has put out a video tribute. Lebanon’s Minister of Information condemned the incident describing the targeting of journalists as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and calling for international action.

The phrase “look like Gaza” is used as a threat. Think about that. Genocide has been normalized as intimidation.

This is a massive scandal. Labour has invented a made-up tactical vote organisation to trick Gorton and Denton into voting for them. How can this even be legal?
NEW: Labour embroiled in dirty tricks row on eve of Gorton and Denton by-election. The party has put out a leaflet saying "Tactical Choice" say voters should back them to beat Reform. Only, Tactical Choice don't appear to exist. Story 👇 huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/l…

World attention is no longer on Gaza, so Israel is pulverising it. The fictional "ceasefire" is well and truly trashed.
Since six hours ago and up until now, Israeli tanks have been continuously opening fire in Gaza, with stray gunfire spreading everywhere

We’ve reached the point of Israel’s genocide where Doctors Without Borders can report a 29-DAY-OLD Palestinian baby freezing to death and it’s not even news.
18 Dec 2025
Today, a 29-day-old baby died at Nasser hospital, southern Gaza, Palestine, just two hours after arriving at the MSF- supported paediatric ward in the early hours of the morning. Despite treatment efforts, he could not be saved. According to the Ministry of Health, he died from hypothermia. "Children are losing their lives because they lack the most basic items for survival. Babies are arriving to the hospital cold, with near-death vital signs: even our best efforts are not enough. They say the war has ended, but people are still having to fight for their lives," says Bilal Abu Saada-Nursing Team Supervisor at Nasser Hospital. The harsh winter weather combined with the already dire living conditions is increasing health risks and MSF teams are consistently seeing high rates of respiratory infections - something which will only increase throughout winter and is particularly dangerous for children under five-years old As Gaza is battered by heavy rains and storms, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians continue to struggle in flooded and broken makeshift tents. MSF calls on Israeli authorities to urgently allow a massive scale up of aid into the Strip.

How have @SheffieldUni management contrived to turn an easily resolvable dispute into something approaching MAB-like levels of crisis? From a pre-strike offer that could have been patched up into something that worked, to threatening a lockout from 5 January. I despair.
