Drake woke up today with a 13-19 record and a 9th-place finish in the MVC. It just beat #1 seed Belmont by 21 in the quarters of Arch Madness. The first time EVER that a 9 seed has beaten a 1 seed in the history of the MVC Tournament. Anarchy? Nope. Just College Basketball.

After her cancer diagnosis two years ago, Gehlen Catholic sophomore SherryJo Wittkop had one last sports wish. She wanted to start and score one basket in a Gehlen Catholic varsity basketball game. Tonight, that wish came true.

A summary of the ending to the FCS National Championship game: 4Q 5:10 - Illinois State ties the game on a 25-yard TD pass on 3rd & 9. 4Q 0:57 - Montana State blocks Illinois State’s 37-yard field goal attempt, picking it up and returning it to the other 45-yard line. 4Q 0:22 - Montana State snaps the ball over their QB’s head for a loss of 20 yards, killing any hope at a FG attempt. OT - Illinois State gets the ball first, scores touchdown, but then has their EXTRA POINT BLOCKED. OT - Illinois State’s defense holds up for 3 downs, forcing a 4th & 10, then Montana State throws a 15-yard TD. Due to the blocked extra point before, Montana State’s extra point ends up being the walk-off winner for the national title. UNBELIEVABLE game. 🔥
