I was dressed exactly like this when I was run over in Moycullen in broad daylight. The factors that most strongly influence cyclist safety are driver speed, enforcement levels, road layout, and safe cycling infrastructure, not what we are wearing. A ๐Ÿงต
๐Ÿ‘€ Can you see me now? The importance of visibility on our roads cannot be understated, particularly for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists, e-scooter drivers and motorcyclists. #CanYouSeeMeNow #KeepingPeopleSafe

Brutalist, cheap to maintain. A huge disappointment. Hopefully all of our elected officials will raise queries into how this cost โ‚ฌ7m and seems to have deviated from the original plans significantly. Council shouldn't get off lightly delivering this crap.
RIP Bishop Lucey Park Only green space in city centre is no longer a green space Seriously how did this cost โ‚ฌ7million? Its depressing & says Cork says f*ck biodiversity & climate Ironically the one redeeming feature is that the railings & gates are gone to make it thoroughfare

President Michael D. Higgins and Sabina would like to thank all of the many members of the public who have written to them to wish them well as the President tonight completes his term of office. The thoughtfulness of so many people in writing to them is greatly appreciated

Long overdue
From Monday 18th August 2025, Cork City Council will introduce filtered permeability on York Hill which will be closed to through vehicular traffic between Wellington Road and Summerhill North. To support sustainable travel in the city, two-way pedestrian and cycle through access on York Hill will be retained. Vehicular access will be maintained to residential properties on York Terrace accessed via Summerhill North. @CorkSafetyAlert @CBA_cork @CorkChamber @RedFMNews @Corks96FM @echolivecork @irishexaminer @corkbeo

Hi @corkcitycouncil ! Why are you designing cycling infrastructure in 2025 that leads to direct conflict between bike users and pedestrians, and then spits bike users directly back onto the road before a narrow bridge with zero priority? This really isn't acceptable.Clontarf St

Hi @IrishRail can you please ask the conductor to enforce the Quiet Carriage on the 10.25 Cork-Dublin currently halfway en route? Kids running around and everyone on phones everywhere. Thanks.

Embarrassing @CorkAirport @Buseireann Machine for tickets broken yet again and turned off with not even a simple paper notice to inform passengers of alternatives. Passengers deserve better. Visitors deserve better. So, so embarrassing. Second largest gateway to Ireland!

Easter Saturday early morning services- 220 - utter failure once again from Bus Eireann to run a proper service on the city's only 24 hour route. Why bother.

MacCurtain Street public transport corridor.. No less than 8 vehicles parked across the bus lane for the night, and paths blocked too. Incredible sights and not a Garda to be seen.

Great to see such demand for bus services at Cork Airport at 1pm on a weekday afternoon. We need more frequent options and more routes serving all areas of the city and county alike @CorkAirport @Buseireann

Drury St car park has 300 cycle parking spaces, including cargo bike spaces and bicycle maintenance area with basic tools for repairs. The facility is monitored by CCTV security cameras and cycle parking is available free of charge 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. #cycledublin #bikeparking

Paul Street One of @corkcitycouncil "reimagined" pedestrian friendly streets Missing about 20 bollards at either side, empty spaces where the bollards once were now allows ridiculous illegal parking like this on this tiny laneway EVERY single day.

Add to that this driver heading against the one-way system illegally to access Cornmarket St. Paul Street is one way for obvious reasons. Someone will be injured or worse here. This street shouldn't even have cars, local access only with tags and automated bollards by Daunt Sq
