During my trip to Italy, I visited the Vatican and several major churches. Religious or tourist, the rule is simple: cover your legs and shoulders, dress modestly. Security enforces it—no excuses. Respect the rules, or don’t enter.
I saw modern, well-dressed women—none challenging the rules, none talking about patriarchy or women’s rights. Everyone followed the code.
So why is the same dress code in our Hindu temples considered controversial & oppressive to women?
