Last night my friend @MaxwellFrostFL showed me Donald Trump’s Truth Social posting urging MAGA to expel me from Congress. Apparently Trump doesn’t appreciate our fight against his $1.776 billion slush fund or his outrageous attack against the Southern Poverty Law Center. Sorry, Mr. President, I’m not going anywhere but back to the front lines of the fight against corruption and authoritarianism.

Last weekend, we wrapped another incredible women’s brunch! For 8 years, we have gathered this inspiring group of women – and this year, we were able to uplift the steadfast leadership of Speaker @JPenaMelnyk and rally behind @JanelleStelson. P.S. If you’re not already, you’ll want to keep your eyes on Janelle. She is an absolute work horse, running for one of the most flippable seats in Pennsylvania!

Team Democrats might have lost last night’s Congressional Baseball Game for charity, but I’d rather lose here and win in November! Now that we’re off the field, it’s full steam ahead to Election Day 🗳️

“None of us got where we are solely by pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps." — Justice Thurgood Marshall Real progress is always a team effort. That’s why receiving the endorsement of the Thurgood Marshall Democratic Club means so much to me and our campaign. TMDC has always been on the frontlines of fighting for equity and civil rights in our community. I’m incredibly proud to partner with TMDC and President Patricia Thomas as we work to deliver the real results Marylanders deserve. Let's get to work! 🗳️ mobilize.us/elfrethformaryla…

Eight years ago, @DelBartlett32 and I were freshman legislators in the Maryland State House. Last week, I was proud to stand alongside House Speaker @JPenaMelnyk and Sandy’s district-mate Delegate @marksoochang in highlighting all of the progress she has made since then. In this last year alone, as Chair of the Judiciary Committee, Sandy spearheaded the end of 287g agreements and the passing of the Community Trust Act, generational reforms to our juvenile justice system, strengthened guardrails of our foster care programs, and much more.

It was a beautiful evening in North Laurel celebrating Howard County Councilwoman and my dear friend, @christianarigby, for re-election! Christiana is a work horse, which is why I’ve been lucky to have her as a partner in legislating, delivering for our constituents, and bringing funding back home to the Third – including federal funding for pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements to Guilford Road. The chaos in Washington makes it more important than ever to have incredibly talented, dedicated folks at the local level like Christiana delivering for our communities. Howard County is fortunate to have Christiana – and right now – her leadership and grit are needed more than ever.

It’s never too early to make a plan to vote. While Maryland still has same day voter registration, Tuesday, June 2nd, is the last day to register to vote by mail or online. You can check your status or start a new registration here at the link below. I’ve always believed that our government works best when more people are at the table. Making sure your registration is current is the first step in making that happen. You may have also seen that there was a vendor error with select Maryland ballots. If you are voting by mail and receive a second ballot that says "REPLACEMENT BALLOT," please make sure to fill out that ballot. For more information on replacement ballots, please call 410-269-2840 or email absentee.SBE@maryland.gov. voterservices.elections.mary…

Maryland, the Primary Election is just 30 days away. On the 250th anniversary of our nation, I’m reminded of the one important principle our nation was founded upon: participation. The radical notion of self-determination meant that We the People could decide the future of our country. And even on our hardest days, the path forward requires more participation – not less. If you haven’t already, make a plan to vote and make your voice heard: elections.maryland.gov/elect…

Delegate @MarkSooChang has been serving the people of Glen Burnie and North County for over a decade in the Maryland General Assembly – making sure our laws match our values. On the powerful Appropriations Committee, Mark has been trusted to balance the State’s budget – and he’s also brought home tens of millions back to his community. I was lucky to have him as a legislative partner in the State House for six years, and today, I am proud to work closely with him to deliver for our shared constituents. I am supporting Mark in this campaign to succeed the unmatched Chair @PamelaBeidle because I know the Senate of Maryland – and our State – will be a better place with Mark Chang as the Senator from District 32.

I’ve spent the last few weeks on the road for our "Doors for Democracy Tour." We’ve been criss-crossing the Third to support 24 of our partner candidates – ensuring we’re building a team of results-oriented leaders at every level of government. A huge thank you to each and every volunteer who stepped up to join us on the doors! Here’s what we accomplished: 🧑‍ 3,270 Voters Contacted 🚪2,415 Doors Knocked 🙋‍♂️215 Volunteers Engaged 🤝24 Partner Candidates Supported 📍5 Stops Across 3 Counties We have 32 days until the Primary Election. I’m not slowing down, and I know you won’t either.

Criss-crossing the Third District, I hear one clear message: we need fighters at the federal, state, and local levels to take on the tough issues and mitigate the harms of this Administration. I am proud to stand alongside partners like @SenatorDawnGile, Delegate Heather Bagnall, and @allison_pickard – three women who have spent their careers building coalitions and meeting this moment. Experience matters when so much is on the line, and that’s why I am so proud to serve with these advocates for Anne Arundel County and Maryland and support their campaigns. Come join us Saturday, May 30th at 2:00 pm to knock doors and continue the conversations that will move us forward. mobilize.us/s/36GKxv

We couldn’t have asked for better weather on Saturday as we hit hundreds of doors for our next Howard County Executive, @VAtterbeary. I was proud to join her, dozens of volunteers, and our brothers and sisters in labor in Laurel to talk about our “why”s this election cycle – we heard everything from tackling rising costs, to protecting science, to funding our world class educational system in Howard County. We know Delegate Atterbeary is ready for these fights ahead - which is why I am excited to back her in this race.

This spring marks 22 years of the Western Maryland Democratic Summit – a proud tradition for organizers in Mountain Maryland and our State Party. I joined them once again in Hagerstown to talk about the critical work being done up and down the ballot here in our home state, but also the work ahead of November in Virginia and Pennsylvania. It has been a privilege to represent Carroll County – a small sliver of Western Maryland – in the House! I am thrilled to support the strong women serving and running to represent this dynamic part of our state: Corynne Courpas, Megan Foelber, @April4Congress, @jessfitzwater, and so many more!
